I dressed d/n (daughters name) in some apporiate comfortable clothes today h/n was meeting her for the very first time he didnt know i had child but I was planning of telling him today.
I had d/n when I was 15 with a ex who left me and d/n which I had to financially support the 2 of us which was difficult but in which h/n helped me during the hard times.
that's how I met him and we fell in love I was petrified that h/n will no longer want to be with me because I had a child and he didn't want that responsibility in his life right now.
i took a deep breath placing the plates on the table and placing d/n name on her chair "mommy who's coming over?" she asked pushing her hair back "my friend" I replied back smiling at her
Her eyes lit up "my daddy?" she asked I shook my head I kissed her cheek "no baby he went somewhere really important alright" a knock was placed on the door I jumped.
I felt my palms becoming sweaty as I walked towards the door I opened the door with a nervous smile placed on my face h/n smiled at me "hey" he hugged I kind of went stiff
"is everything okay?" he asked me worriedly I nodded slowly I saw h/n eyes widen I looked at him confused I turned around to see d/n smiling sweetly I sighed heavily I told her to stay in kitchen but she didn't listen
"mommy is this my daddy?" she asked looking at h/n, h/n completely froze in the momment
"no baby go play with your toys" she scurried away.
I turned back to face h/n i motioned we should sit on the sofa. silence.i didn't know if i should start or not
"I'm sorry okay i didn't tell you I didn't want to freak you out and then you not wanting to be with me anymore" I rambled.
He looked over at me "hey dw it's fine breath so who's her dad she looking for and why did you never tell me ?" he asked nervously
"ex/n he left us both he didn't want anything to do with us and I didn't tell you because I was scared of what you was going to think of me but I know what your already thinking it's okay if you want to break up "i looked down sadly h/n cupped my cheeks
" hey don't say that I love you no matter what alright I will be there for you and your daughter I will love you both so dearly "he kissed my lips passionately I smiled
" can I meet her? "he asked excitedly I nodded "d/n come downstairs baby" I shouted I heard her tiny footsteps quickly coming down the stairs.
She walked in shyly looking at h/n, he gave her a soft smile "is that my daddy?" she asked I chuckled "no baby he's my boyfriend" I told her as she sat my lap
she frowned tears welled up in her eyes h/n eyes softened "hey hey its okay I can be your other daddy if you want me to" he wiped her tears my heart melted at the sight
D/n eyes lit up a her lips curved into a big smile "really?" h/n nodded she hugged him as he hugged her back shocked.
it was approaching night time I was changing d/n into her night clothes I told d/n I just needed to wash the dishes then I could read her a bed time story I finished the dishes
I headed upstiars into d/n bedroom I was about to say something until I saw h/n putting d/n to bed as I her eyes slowly shut i felt emotional watching the sight h/n placed a kiss on her forehead.
he turned around and saw me and jumped in fright he lead me out of the room as he saw tears in my eyes
"you scared me why you crying baby?" he asked me placed a soft kiss on my wet cheek
"don't worry it's nothing bad I just got emotional watching you and d/n that the fact every time I would get in a relationship they would leave after finding out I had a kid and you never left me you stayed" I replied wiping my tears away
h/n eyes softened "I would never do that because I love you no matter what baby come here let's head to bed I'll stay the night over" he hugged me.
