The cool autumn breeze nipped at my bare arms and legs as I ran on the smooth sidewalk. The wind combed its way through my tangly hair as I began to run faster. It was 6:30 in the morning. Perfect time for an early jog. I found myself out of breathe and began to slow down. I walked to a slow pace until I heard a familiar voice come from one of the houses. I stopped suddenly and drew in a deep breath as I turned to see who was speaking. Dylan Johnson. A simple name I suppose, but it was more than that. This is the guy I have been drooling over since 6th grade, but sadly I was never in his league, nor will I ever be. I snapped out of my thoughts as he walked towards me. Before I knew it, he was standing right in front of me, his dark brown eyes sparkled as they met my emerald green ones.

"Hi. You're Nicole Swane, right?" He asked with a small smile on his face.

Oh my gosh. I swear I melted right then and there. Why on Gods green earth was he talking to me of all people? I responded with a loud sigh as all the air escaped my lungs. He chuckled lightly at my response. I blushed quickly and look down at my pale hands.

"So, what are you doing outside so early? You came to see me didn't you?"He asked with a smirk on his face. Normally I don't get all shy and girly, I like to argue and fight back if I need to. And this was one of those moments.

"We'll excuse me for wanting to run in the morning. What happened to freedom?" I huffed as I 'quickly walked around him not wanting to continue this conversation. After a minute or so, I couldn't help but glance behind me to see where he went. He wasn't there and I couldn't help, but feel bummed at the fact that he wasn't following me.

"You looking for me?" asked a deep voice from beside me. I quickly turned to face whoever was talking to me and lost my balance on the sidewalk. I began to fall back as I heard a car coming towards us.
