1 week later...

It has been a week. Oh boy, has it been a week. I have gotten maybe 2 to 3 hours of sleep a night. This woman is constantly on my mind and I can't shake this feeling about her. Working extra hours isn't getting her off my mind. Annoying my daughter and her husband while helping them unpack their house isn't helping. Doing anything other than thinking isn't helping. Willow told me that watching TV uses very little of my brain. I tried that. It didn't work. So, I thought, a coworker asked me out to dinner with his family, that should distract me. I worked on with him for some company a little. His name is David Marchesi. He has a wife and a 5-year-old son. Around the office, he tends to talk about his ex who apparently is crazy. None of us had ever met her, because he started working at our offices after his divorce. I head over to the restaurant that I'm meeting them at. Let's hope that this dinner will get her off my mind.

Just because I have a day off, I become a babysitter. Serena left her dog, Blaze, with me for the weekend. She said that it could be a bonding experience for me and him. That I need some love and affection. Yeah, I don't really like dogs, but I guess he's cute. I get dressed in my running gear because I need to go on one. I usually go three times a week, but I haven't had the chance. This dog better be a running dog. I don't want to drag him along. I head outside with him leading the way. Once I start to run, he follows closely to my side. We turn onto a street where most of the restaurants in the city are on. It's a Friday night so it is fairly busy. I run past an Italian restaurant and the moment we pass the window, Blaze stops running.

"Come on, Blaze," I say pulling on his leash. Why won't he budge? I walk over to him and I look in the window. Oh hell no. Since when did my sleaze of an ex have a wife and kid. That kid looks like he is at least 5 years old. That means that he was with that woman before we were divorced. I know that I should be the bigger person and keep walking, but no. I am not letting him get away from this.

"David, what a nice surprise," I say walking over to his table. I didn't even notice the other guy with them. Oh, shit. It is the guy from the coffee shop. David shifts in his seat and his wife looks confused.
