You run down the hallways and put on your fire suit.
Obi: An Infernal has appeared in Taito-ku, Torigoe District. The site of the fire is a small factory. The person who turned Inferno is the factory manager's wife. We'll work with Squad 4 of the Fire Defense Agency's Ueno Regional HQ. We're moving out! Hurry up and get in the Matchbox!
The Matchbox is just the armored vehicle you take to fight Infernals.
Y/N: If I get to kill this Infernal, I'll finally be a hero.
They all look at you confused.
Y/N: What?
Maki: How much Infernals have you fought in your lifetime?
Y/N: Maybe, uh... 7, probably.
Maki: And those 7 times you saved the lives of people that could've been killed. You were already a hero.
You've never thought of it that way. You smile brightly and proudly. When you make it to the fire, you go inside the factory to fight the Infernal.
Obi: In there.
The flames give you flashbacks like a Vietnam War veteran. The memory of your Mom and Dad burning up in flames, it's too much.
Y/N: No... no, no. Not again.
The only words you can repeat is "no". You don't want to see anybody die again. Shinra puts his hand on your shoulder.
Shinra: I know it's hard to fight back the memories, but try as hard as you can. We have to defeat the Infernal, or else more people will die, right?
That calms you down.
Y/N: Right.
Maki clears a path in the fire but the fire gets sucked in behind you. You see Shinra get blown away into a pipe.
Y/N: Shinra!
He loses consciousness until Lieutenant Hinawa starts yelling at him.
Hinawa: Devil! Hey Devil! Wake up!
Shinra gains his consciousness.
Hinawa: After being given a heavy-duty nickname like Devil, are you this pathetic?
Shinra: I was knocked out. How many minutes?
Hinawa: What? It was 5 seconds.
The Infernal appears.
Obi: Everyone prepare for battle! Shinra, Y/N. Maki and I will distract her while you guys go finish her with those-
But you're already one step ahead. You boost toward the Infernal and charge up your fist. Your winded up punch is leaving you wide open, the Infernal punches you straight in the gut. You cough up blood.
Y/N: Shit... that hurt...
Shinra: Are you okay?
Y/N: Yeah, I'm fine, let's do this...
You stand back up and boost at the Infernal again. Shinra follows you. The Infernal charges at Captain Obi and latches onto him while making a big flame.
Obi: Ouch! That's hot!
Maki runs to Captain Obi and controls all the fire off of him. Captain Obi takes out his axe.
Obi: Improved Type 2 Fire Axe Thrust!
It hits the Infernal directly but all she does is fly back. The Infernal gets back up and faces you again.
Y/N: After all those hits, you aren't even dead?
It's like your personality completely changed.
Y/N: You Infernal scum deserve to die, at the hands of me!
This is why they call you a monster.
Y/N: Go to hell, you flamey bastard.
You dash towards the Infernal with a punch, it connects to her jaw. She gets sent back to the wall. You boost up to her and load a barrage of punches into her. You jump off of her using her stomach as the jumping platform then boost back at her. You kick her straight through the core of the heart.
Y/N: You deserve to go to hell.
You black out.

*Small Timeskip*
You wake up back at the Fire Cathedral. You sit up to see everyone looking at you.
Y/N: Huh? What happened?
No response.
Y/N: Are you guys gonna talk or what-
Obi: What you said to the Infernal, it was unacceptable.
Y/N: What did I say to the Infernal? I was unconscious.
Obi: You told it to go to hell, you called it scum.
Y/N: I would never say something like that to an Infernal or human!
Hinawa: You said you passed out, you don't remember anything of the Infernal fight?
Y/N: The last thing I remember is when Captain Obi sliced his axe at her, then I blacked out.
Obi: That's also when your personality changed.
Y/N: My personality changed?
Obi: That's when you started to call it scum and told it to go to hell. You have a split personality. That's probably the reason they call you a monster.
You get angry.
Y/N: I'm not a monster!
Hinawa: Then what are you? You didn't even give the Infernal a peaceful death, calling it scum. The real scum here is you.
Y/N: I didn't say that! I wouldn't say that in a million years to anybody!
You storm out of the room. You walk to your dorm and hop on the top bunk. After staying there for 30 minutes, you hear a knock on the door.
Y/N: What do you want?
???: I just wanna talk.
It's Iris.
Y/N: Come in.
She walks in and sits on the bottom bunk.
Iris: Listen, as a Sister I have to make sure the Infernal's pass on peacefully. So please, promise me you'll try to not say that again.
Y/N: Whatever.
She leaves. You go to bed since you're tired of being accused of stuff you didn't do.
Y/N: How would I even do that? I was passed out.
You doze off.
