Felix sighs and shakes his head. "What?" I ask him in confusion. He looks at me for a moment then picks up the "Nothing Juice" and puts it in a syringe with a needle at the end. "What does that do?" Felix rolls his eyes and gives an annoying glare. "We just had this conversation minutes ago." He says exasperated. "Oh, right." Felix takes a wet cloth and cleans the dried blood off of my calf around the bullet wound. He than takes the suring and stabs it in my cleaned skin. I take a sharp inhale of air as I feel the "Nothing Juice" move around my skin.
"Your fine." Feix said sensing my discomfort, and rips the needle out, not losing focus. His voice held a hint of exasperation. "I don't understand why King let you join us." He muttered under his breath. My eyes widen in shock. "What do you mean i'm 'In your group'?" I ask as I feel the anxiety creeping into my head. "Your in our group..." "King saved you from the Grounders, took you to our base and now assigned me to make sure you don't lose your leg, your in our group." His eyes stare daggers into my soul. Something was different this time though. Felix's voice wasn't harsh. Though his expression says otherwise. His voice held sincerity along with what sounded like hope. I may be reading too much into it, but it sounded as if he was glad I'm here. 'I'm getting off track.' "Why would he even want me? Do you guys work for a mafia or something?!" Now i'm starting to go into full panic mode. "No, no we don't work for a mafia. Were like you... Unclaimed."
'They are Unclaimed?' This doesn't make sense. "But aren't King and Bianca siblings?" I said in confusion. "Half siblings. Same mother different father." Felix says, and then goes back to working on my leg, even though that didn't answer my question. It seems like a touchy subject He takes a small knife and makes an incision around the bullet wound. I feel nothing. Although there is no pain there is still uncomfort. I can feel pressure where the knife was and the fact that there is no feeling at all worries me. I know that thats what its supposed to do, but I still can't help wondering how this works. Is it safe? 'Are there any side effects? What if I lose feeling in my leg forever?!' endless thoughts come flooding into my brain. The what is and are you sures drive me insane. I've always felt this way any time the slightest thing goes wrong. For the most part I can keep my face calm, but on the inside my brain is exploding with questions and worry."Do you need anything?" Felix asks with genuine concern written on his face. "I'm fine." I say to rushed. "You're obviously not. Do you need a distraction?" He says. "Ya." I say truthfully. My head is pounding. This new information is making my headache. "It's to real, right?" He asks. "What do you mean?" "The feeling. The Nothing juice." To be honest I had completely forgotten about that. I was more worried about the situation I had gotten into. Of Course i'm not gonna say that to him now. I'll just look like a wimp now. "Oh, ya thats what im worried about." Felix gives a sympathetic smile. "The same thing happened to me. We first found the Nothing juice by accident. I had thought it was a disinfectant, so when I poured it on Bianca's wound she about chopped off my head when she couldn't feel anything." Felix laughed a little towards the end and had a small smile on his lips. His face softened and you could see all the stress leave him. "We all knew what the Nothing juice was it was just a tupid mistake, but at the time we were all freaking out until King put two and two together." Felix smiled focusing on his work. "You really care about them don't you." I state. "Ya, they've been with me for as long as I can remember." He frowned and started stitching up the wound.
We continued to talk about whatever came to mind. Felix finished stitching up the wound and began to clean up. "I wonder what it's like at Mercy HQ?" Felix stood still. "What do you mean?" He said not moving a muscle. "I mean, what would it be like. They have everything, no need to worry when you have everything." I say in a dreamy voice. "It's probably not that good either." Felix says. "How could it not be good? They are free!" Didn't he understand they where at least free? "I'm just saying nowhere is perfect. There are problems everywhere." He gave me a reassuring look." 'Well things are a lot better than here," I mumble under my breath. "What?" he asks. "What?" I never said anything.
We continue to talk about random things such as why bread is the best source of food and what we think chocolate is. We both have heard of it but have never tried it. Felix said King had once gotten some when he was little. I think it would taste like dirt but Felix says it would be like beans. Just as we were about to get into it the doors slam open. "Bang!" King marched through the door in a dramatic fashion. "What happened?" Felix asked, Immediately stood up and started walking towards him. Bianca followed through the door shortly after with her head held low. King still had said nothing. Bianca was the first to speak. "Gustav. Gustav saw us." Felis's face fell and Bianca walked towards him with fear in her eyes. King slammed his fist against the wall in raging fury. "We should have killed him when we had the chance." He stalked away to a makeshift room. All that could be heard was the hushes wimpers of Bianca and Felix.
