Episode 12 - Let The Games Begin

"Start!"

As soon as Midnight says go, I boost myself over everyone and manage to make it all the way through. I start running once I'm on the ground, but before I can make it far, the ground turns to ice and I start to slip. "You won't get passed me so easily."

"I already did!" I smirk, watching him get closer to me as I crouch down to touch the ice. Right before he gets close to me, I use my own quirk to change the state of the ice, creating a smokescreen with the vapor from boiling the water.

I take that chance to make a break for it. But once again, I'm stopped. This time, by the zero-point robots from the entrance exam. I stop in front of them, not sure of how I wanted to destroy them. I see Todoroki stop a little bit away from mel Everyone catches up to us and begin to freak out. I hear a familiar voice from the crowd, "Aren't those the zero-point villains from the entrance exam?!" I glance behind me and see Kaminari. But after I turned my attention away for a second, Todoroki is crouched on the ground and using his ice. It spirals around him and the air becomes chilly, he swings his arms towards the villains and giant spikes of ice follow.

'I guess I really did underestimate everyone. This is... terrifyingly impressive-!'

He manages to completely freeze the robot in its tracks then takes off between its legs. "He stopped them! We can get through between their legs" The student exclaim from behind me. But Todoroki shouts back, "I wouldn't if I were you. I froze them while they were unbalanced." Just as he said those words, the robot he froze begins to break and fall, "They'll fall over..."

I chuckle, 'Nice going, Todoroki. But I'm afraid I'm gonna have to steal the spotlight from you!' I focus Sai's quirk in my legs and in my upper body, then I crouch down to build up the power. "Todoroki Shouto from Class 1-A! He attacked and defended in one hit!" Finally, I decide that I have enough strength stored up in my legs and jump. 'Time to show off!' I reel back my arm and throw my fist into its head, immediately crushing the whole top half of its body.

Once I land back on the ground, I take off sprinting past its crumbling body. I laugh when I hear the shocked shouts coming from my classmates. And since my legs were still boosted, I easily overtake Todoroki and take the lead.

"And just like that, Kanshi Jishirou destroys the Robo Inferno like it's nothing! Just how powerful is she?!" I sweatdrop and mentally groan, Yamada always makes me sound stronger than I am... I check to see if any others made it past the zero-pointers yet, and to my surprise; nearly all of Class A were catching up to me. 'Boy, this class sure moves fast-!' I smirk to myself, feeling like a proud mother of my class - even though I am only a student in it as well.

'In any case, that means I need to up my game!' Knowing that there were plenty of students behind me, I focus more of Sai's quirk into my legs once again and use it to power hop my way to the next obstacle. "What in the world..." UA sure goes all out with their courses... In front of me was a huge pitfall with tightropes crossing over to many of the platforms spread throughout the cavern. "If you fall, you're out! If you don't wanna fall, then crawl! It's The Fall!"

By the time I had stopped and analyzed the obstacle, the first students who were able to catch up to me were showing up. "When did they build this stage?" I glance behind me and see Uraraka, Tsuyu, and Mina. "Ribbit!" Wasting no time, Tsuyu walks up to the edge of the ground and hops as far as she can across the tightrope. "This is like a glorified tightrope," she says, before crawling the rest of the way.

"She's fast!"

Mina exclaims, watching the frog-like girl speed her way through the course. 'Well, Tsu-chan certainly is very quick-thinking in these situations...' I hear a laugh come from behind us, then I turn around and see a pink-haired girl with support-gear all over her body. "Here it is! Here's my chance to show off! It's time for my support items to be in the limelight!" Then she spreads her arms and shouts to the skies, "Look, all you support companies across the country! Wire arrow and... hover soles!" She shows off her gear, giddy.
