Maisie's POV
Me: look, I'm sorry, okay?
Claire: sorry isnt going to fix the fact that you brought an Indoraptor into the house. ESPECIALLY AN ALPHA!!!
When Claire raised her voice, Gideon came rushing in growling like crazy at Claire. Before anything really happened I stepped in front of Claire and put my hands on the chest area... and for some reason that felt right... when I did that, Gideon calmed down.
Me: Gideon, it's okay. She's just..... not very fond of Indoraptors, we had a bad run-in with one so....
Gideon understood me so he calmed down and walked out, he stopped and looked back for a minute then looked away and walked off back to Owen.
Me: .... Claire, I have a question...
Claire: *sigh* what is it?
Claire asked in a calmer voice
Maisie: the Indoraptor was made from the Indominus Rex, what was in the Indominus Rex that makes a human have butterflies in their stomach after they've connected, or bonded shall we say, that's gone down to the Indoraptor?
Claire: well, the Indominus Rex has Zylon frog DNA. Zylon frogs usually act unusual when they first encounter their mate. Most of the time, their pupils dilate, their heart rate and pulse increases and their vision becomes fixated on their mate and only their mate.
When I heard her say 'mate' that's when it clicked, and I said the one thing that I least expected myself to say Claire. It was like my body acted on it's own after it was explained.
Me: I'm Gideons mate...
Claire stood there shocked at what I said... but then she gave a look that meant that she rewinded back to what she said and she understood what i meant.
Me: it all makes sense, after you guys left last week i went back to the estate because I've been having this feeling that something was missing. I checked it out and found out that Wu had been secretly making more Indoraptors, there was More Than One this whole time we just couldn't see them because it was in a different location. I've been having these butterflies in my stomach after I bonded almost instantly with him. When you explained the Zylon frogs from the Indominus Rex it made sense. I'm Gideons mate.
Claire wasnt sure what to think but she understood what I was saying.. but she said something I did not expect.... at all....
Claire: well then... we're gonna need a bigger house...
I stood there mouth agape and smiling widely with joy and excitement... I turned around to go tell Gideon only to see Oweneaning against the door frame smiling with Gideon behind him...
Owen: I'll get started on getting some equipment and buying new woods, stone, etc. Etc. So that I can start with breaking down walls and expanding the length, width and roof of the cabin.
As all of this was said Gideon and I looked at eachother with wide smiles. I was over filled with joy that my face started to hurt from smiling so much.
Me: this is amazing! Thank you guys so much!
I hugged Claire and then Owen and ran up to my room so I could get some good shut-eye ready to start helping Owen get everything ready. Soon after, Gideon walked in. I looked at him and smiled happily.
Me: I know I'm your mate
He perked his head up when I said that with a look of 'what?!'
Me: it's okay, Claire explained it to me. About the whole Zylon frog DNA in the Indominus Rex which was then passed down to you as you have Indominus Rex DNA... and-
Before I could finish my sentence, I suddenly felt a pair of teethy wide lips on mine... Gideon.. he's kissing me. This lasted for a few minutes...and I really loved it!
We pulled back and heard the front door open and close, Owen and Claire are probably going to the pub for a couple beers... after Gideon looked away from my bedroom door he looked back at me and we looked at eachother with lust in our eyes..... I'm in love with a dinosaur... and I'm happy about it..
