I stared at my face, hoping, willing for any memory to come back. Nothing came, nothing ever did. I sighed and blinked. A smile spread across my lips something about it felt off, out of place. Like smiling wasn't something to be done.

"Em?" My head snapped in the direction of my uncle's voice, "Your dads are ready to go, love." I flashed my uncle Liam a smile.

"Thanks Li." I mumbled and scampered down the stairs. My dad, Harry, ruffled my hair. A grin crossed my lips at the action.

"Quit it!" I whined playfully.

I sat on the plane. Earbuds in my ears as my fathers and uncles smooth voices filled my ears. It was the album they released about two years before I was born. It was my favourite album and the song seemed to calm me. I leaned my head against the window and drifted slowly off to sleep.

"Emerson, Emerson!" I giggled as Alex searched for me. He was just walking past the closet I was in when I jumped on him.

"You got me!" I squealed. Alex chuckled.

"I sure did, and you're quite a catch." A blush crept up my cheeks. Alex ruffled my hair and we stood up.

"Wanna go to the cinema and see a film?" I nodded.

My eyes popped open and I looked around. Beside me my dad, Louis was reading. And across the aisle my dad, Harry, was reading. I yawned and sat up. My dad grinned at me.

"Have a nice nap sleepy head?" I giggled and nodded.

The rest of the plane ride was boring. When we finally got off dad and Lou dumped me in a waiting room and went off to retrieve our luggage. Not that I minded much. I sat and looked at the pictures on my phone.

Some jumped out at me, but I couldn't recall taking them. Some I couldn't even recall the people in them. I sighed, no use.

Suddenly I came across a face that made my heart lurch. The girl had my dad, Louis', chestnut hair. It was wavy and her eyes were brown. For some reason her face made me angry and sad. I quickly flipped past the picture. It hurt to see it.

Finally my dads walked over, I thought about asking but finally decided against it.

"Now we're off to Grandmas!" Louis announced.

Well this should be interesting.

Grandma Jays. The first stop in Uncovering The Hidden Memories.
