Sean waited patiently for the bell that would announce that school was over for the day. He stared at the clock; only 2 more minutes to go.
(In the next room over)
"Hey Lily, do you think Sean has been acting kinda weird today?" Serena asked, not looking up from her notebook.
Lily shrugged, "Isn't Sean always acting weird?"
"Well yeah but yesterday he said he wanted to talk to me after school today. Don't you think that's unlike him? Wouldn't he just talk to me over text?"
"Yeah well, maybe he wants to confess his love or something."
Both girls were silent for a moment before they burst out laughing only to be stopped by the teacher who told them to quiet down.
Serena shook her head, "Yeah right, maybe to Orlando or something."
"I know, I know. Maybe his parents started going through his phone and that's why he has to tell you in person."
"Yeah, you're probably right," just then the bell rang, "Well see you later Lily!"
"Yeah, see you!" Lily called after her.
Neither girl was aware Nicole had heard their entire conversation and was very curious as to what Sean wanted to tell Serena. Against her better judgment, she followed Serena.
Serena sighed. She hoped this conversation wouldn't be too long or she'd miss the bus. She walked out of the school and spotted Sean. She made her way over to him and Nicole inconspicuously followed.
"Hey Sean, what is it you wanted to talk about?" Serena asked, a nervous smile on her face.
"What would you do If I murdered someone?"
Serena's smile disappeared and was quickly replaced by a more serious expression, "Well it depends on who."
Nicole had expected a more surprised reaction from the curly-haired girl as she was quite taken back herself. She struggled to here Sean's reply.
"Orlando," he deadpanned.
A smirk appeared on Serena's face, "You would kill your own soulmate?"
Sean now looked slightly irritated, "He's not my soulmate, he's my target."
"I know I know. So I'm assuming you want my help?"
"Yeah, are you up for it?"
Serena shrugged, "Sure, why not.
"Alright then. I'll talk to you later," and with that, Sean began walking away only to be stopped by Nicole grabbing his arm.
"I want in," she demanded.
Sean gave Serena a quick glance before replying in a monotone voice, "Sure."
