I run through the halls of the building. I hear the loud, hurrying footsteps. Then everything goes quiet. I stand there, like an idiot, waiting to see what happens. When I hear something break down stairs, I start to run again. I try a window, but it's locked. So I try a door. It's locked too. I run into the office, searching for some way out of this nightmare. The office has a window, and it's unlocked, but it's 3 stories up. I hear footsteps in the hallway, coming closer. I hurry to unlock the window, then stand on the sill. I am so going to die, I thought to myself. The footsteps stopped right outside the locked office door. Whatever was out there, I didn't want to find out, was trying to break the door down. Luck was on their side though. The door came off the hinges and flew across the room. I jumped.
