Heyy this is my first werewolf story so I hope you like it(:

I was running as fast as I could I had to get away. 'No, they're not dead they can't be dead' I kept thinking over and over again as I ran through the dark forest. I could hear my wolf whimpering but I just shut her out and kept running.

I woke up with a gasp, sitting up in my bed. I sighed and turned off my alarm.

I was sweaty so I got up and went to my bathroom to take a shower. When I got out I wrapped my hair in a towel and then my body and went to my room that was across the hall from my bathroom.

I then picked out what I was going to wear today. I decide on black skinny jeans, a plain grey V-neck shirt, a black hoodie, and my black Vans.

I changed and take my long dark brown hair out of the towel and put it into a French braid.

I grabbed my nametag, car keys, and phone and then put them in my bag and left for work.

"Hello, my name is Esmeralda and I'll be your waitress this afternoon" I said in a dull tone of voice to two teenagers that look about my age.

I wrote down their orders and then went behind the counter to give the orders to the chef.

I've been working at this diner for about two months now ever since I moved to this town.

"Hey, so some of us are going to go bowling or something tonight after work, do you want to come?" Rachel, one of the waitresses I work with, asked me.

I sighed and said "I can't, after work I have to go home and clean my apartment" I was lying of course.

"Aw can't you just do that tomorrow?" She asked.

"No, I've been putting it off for a while now" I gave her a sympathetic smile.

"Well, one of these days you really do have to come out with us, we know how to have fun" she gave me a wink and I chuckled.

"Will do" I smiled at her and she grinned back at me.

The bell above the diner door went off signaling someone walked in.

A wonderful smell engulfed my nose, it smelt like fresh rain and evergreen trees, it was intoxicating.

I turned around and was met with beautiful blue-grey eyes staring at me. I couldn't look away, I felt like I needed to be closer to him.

"I got this one" I told Rachel and grabbed a couple of menus for him and his friends.

"Right this way" I said and gestured for them to follow me.

I brought them to a booth and when they sat down I said "hello, my name is Esmerelda and I will be you waitress this afternoon."

I heard a quiet purr and turned to look where the noise came from and was once again staring at blue-grey eyes.

"Damon, do you want to share a chocolate shake?" a red haired girl sitting next to him asked.

She flirtatiously wrapped her arm around his and looked at him lustfully.

I instantly felt jealous and a low growl came out of my throat, surprising them and even myself.

The boy, Damon, as the red head had called him, looked at me with confusion and I coughed trying to cover up my growl but I had a feeling that wouldn't help.

I bit my lip "can I start you guys off with some drinks?" I asked nervously.

The red head scoffed and said "yes, I would like a chocolate shake to share with my boyfriend."
