Chapter 12: The Game

He opened the door with his left hand, and still was holding my other hand with the right. He looked up at me with that smile, the smile that reassured me that everything was going to be okay. The smile that made me feel safe. I let out a big exhale before I step in.

We entered the house and immediately heard a familiar voice. It was Richard laughing loudly in the distance.We walked further and saw that he was on the floor rolling . For some reason, Erick had a pouty face and his arms were crossed like he was mad. "Why did you do that?" Erick said in a whiny voice. "Because that was fucking hilarious. I put glue in your hair gel and you didn't even notice." Richard said barely breathing. "Hey, look who's back" Zabdiel says sarcastically. They all look and noticed that we entered the room. "Damnnn other one Chris? Okay I see you!" Richard laughs. "What did he just say?" I whispered calmly to Chris. "Nah bro tell her you're playing" Chris said to Richard. "Nah, but you was playing with them other girls tho" Richard smirks. I look up at Chris all worried. "I'm just playing mamas" Richard winks at me. "He really is playing." Chris reassures me. "What's your name" Richard asked. "Daleyza" I responded. "This might sound weird but...I feel like I know you" Erick questioned. Chris answers "Yeah well she was at the- "HEY, ISN'T THAT THE GIRL WHO WAS AT THE PARK THE OTHER DAY? Erick interrupts. I remember now, she gave me a kiss on the cheek"

Oh shit... yeah I forgot about that. MY BAD.

"well nice to see you again" Erick crossed his arms again. "Well I'm going to go wash this glue out my hair" Erick says. Richard starts laughing even louder than before. "HOLD ON HOLD ONN. Ima post this on my story real quick" Richard stands up and pulls out his phone. "NOOO!" Erick screams as they start running around the house chasing after each other.

Me and Chris sit down on the couches. "I'm boreddd" Zabdiel exclaims. "Let's do something" Joel says. "Like what" he asked. "I don't know... a game maybe" Joel continues. "Ooh let's play truth or dare" Chris said. "Seems fun" I agree. "I don't know..." Zabdiel hesitated. "Come onn" Joel insists. "BOYS STOP RUNNING AND GET YOUR ASSES HERE! WE'RE GOING TO PLAY A GAME!" Chris yelled.

We all sit on the floor and form a circle.
"Alright well who's gonna start?" Richard asks.
"I will" Joel spoke. "Alright" Richard responded. "But before we do anything, let's make this interesting. Everyone is going to take a shot of fireball." "Umm I'm underage" I said. "Yeah same" Erick said. "Well go get some juice out the fridge so y'all can still do cheers" Richard responded. Erick gets up and walks to the refrigerator and gets fruit punch and starts pouring it in shot glasses. "Hey Daleyza, could you help me out with this?" Erick asked. "Alright" I replied. I got up and helped him out with the drinks. While we were here, we also decided to get everyone else's shots as well.

I laugh as I get a memory.
"What's funny?" Erick curiously asked. "Oh nothing..." I answered. "Cmon, tell me, something had to have been on your mind to let that cute- I mean uh nice laugh of yours." Erick said nervously. I mean I don't think it's cute but, anyways, I remembered something of when I was little. I remember when my Tio would pour apple juice in a shot glass when I was a kid. I used to feel soo special. And when I finished it, I would start running around the house and acting like I was drunk. *sighs* good times. "Some Tio of yours" Erick lightly chuckled. "Yeah... he was" "Was?" Erick said. Yeah, um well he past away a few years ago. "Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to-" "It's fine" I say cutting him off. "I still think of him every single day. God, I miss him so much. He was there for me when others weren't" I said making eye contact with him. "He was like a second father to me. Sometimes I wish I could just call him and ask him how he is or what he's doing... sometimes I wish I could still hear his voice or see his smile" I say as a tear drop flows down my cheek. "Hey" Erick says softly while wiping my cheek with his thumb. He lifts my face towards him. "He's still with you... in here" He smiles as he points his finger to my heart. I smile. "Thank you" I smile back as I wipe away the rest of my tears away. "I really needed this. Things have been though lately with everything going on and seeing and meeting you guys has really cheered me up" I say emotionally. "Anytime.. I mean that" Erick reassures me. "Thank you... again" I smile. "No problem" He smiles back staring deep into my eyes. He stretches his arms around me and gives me a warm hug. "...Your hair's all wet" I laughed. "Yeah" he replied.

Yo what's the holdup" Richard walks in the kitchen. "OH SORRY!" Erick says as he removing his arms quickly from me and starts to grab the tray of drinks. We start heading back to the living room.

I sit back down in the circle and Erick starts handing out the drinks to everyone. "Here Daleyza" Erick said. "Thanks" I say. "Everything ok?" Chris says looking at me as he starts caressing my back and bringing me towards him. I lay my head against his shoulder. "Yeah I'm okay" I smile looking up at him.

"Okay what are we cheering on?" Richard asks. "To new beginnings" Chris responded. "I agree" I said. "CHEERS" we all said in unison and drank. Joel was the only one who made a sour face. We all laughed at him. "Shut up" he said.

"Okay so let's get down to business. Joel you said you were going first. Truth or dare?" Richard asked. "DARE!" Joel said confidently.

Everything was going good. People were doing dares. At some point Joel had to run down the street with nothing but his underwear on which was something I'd never thought I would experience. It now came around to my turn.

"Daleyza... truth or dare?" Richard asks. Dare I said. "Oohhhh" everyone says. "Shush" I laugh, everyone else laughs as well. Richard answers "Well I dare you to do seven minutes in heaven with...
