Jack's POV:

I already knew she was gone. Both of them were. I didn't have time to mourn. It was either; stay here with two dead bodies waiting to be discovered or...leave and go who knows where.

It's not like I had anywhere to go and the city was a wreck, deserted by most but the streets were full of crackheads. I was careful not to 'bounce' so I used the door and found a quiet street.

I didn't have a clue where I was heading but as long as I was moving....just keep moving...don't stop for anything. Oh great, now I'm talking to myself. I shake myself off carrying on when I pass a narrow street. It had just gone midnight so it was difficult to see but my eyes adjusted as I saw a slight figure crouched by a bin.
He was giggling to himself, I kept my distance but slowly moved closer. "I umm..sir?" My heartbeat sped up, "y-yo-u alright?" For fuck sake get yourself together Jack.

He giggles again, okay this is freaking me out. "They're coming boy....they're coming to kill us all." He keeps giggling. "What the fuck man?" I step back slightly and just as I'm about to leave he pounces.
"RUN! RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN." He now had me against the wall, my heart about to rip out my chest. I panic and push my hands out not realising the force in which he had been shoved to the other side of the street. I stand shocked and my whole body freezes.

He lets out a bloodcurdling scream, "ITS- ITS- HE'S ONE OF THEM!" he cries and I feel my legs kick into action as I sprint down the street. Anywhere, I needed out and quick...I could still hear him, he hadn't stopped and it gave me chills. It must have been a good few minutes, there were a few shouts and the screaming stopped. It was all quiet and I found myself walking into an abandoned store. I could already see most of the supplies had been raided but I found a few bars of chocolate and mannn it felt good to eat. Removing the bag from my back I start filling it with anything useful or in which I could actually find, eventually leaving.

I bounce out, now in a dark alleyway. Darkness didn't bother me much so I carried on walking. I never came out much, from the house. I had to be hidden because I 'wasn't normal' had no friends, no childhood, no nothing. It was just me, mother and my father. 'Father' what sort of father was he? All he ever did was tell me how disappointing I was, mentally and physically abusing me. It was one time I just completely broke and that's when I first found out I had what I had...how? I'll never know.

I suddenly became very uncomfortable. Someone was there I could feel them, I spun around to find nobody. I bounced not getting very far. "This ain't funny" I mumble to myself before hearing a whisper of a response. "Oh, but it is." I feel a blow to the head and drop to the floor.

Sorry I stopped where I did. Enjoy 😊
