Her Hopes, His Distraction

CHAPTER 2(GREEN EYES)

I stood the frozen,
I couldn't move,
It's like time suddenly stopped, and everyone and thing came to a halt.

I stared into those green eyes for like.. eternity.
I came back to reality after hearing someone clear their throat
I blinked a few times before darting my eyes away from him.
"Are you okay?". I heard Smith asks me
*Uh-uh-yeah"*clears throat* "I'm okay" I replied
"Okay, come sit" he lead me towards the conference table
"This is my son, Shawn SMITH" he said referring to the Greek God standing in front of me.. cautiously gazing into my eyes
"Nice to meet you Mr shawn . I'm Veronica as you're aware of"
"The pleasure is all mine.shawn...just call me shawn" he said grabbing my hand and kissing my knuckles. How generous. I reply with a shy smile .
He lead me towards the table and brings out a chair for me to seat, whilst introducing me to the rest of the admins.

The meeting went on in a blur, I couldn't keep my eyes of Shawn who was sitting by my right at the head of the table, while his father sits at the other end.

"So miss west, you will have an interview by 10am tomorrow, so you will be introduced as one of our partners of S$S records" one of the admins said
"Okay.."
After the meeting was over, the admins left leaving me, Shawn and Smith behind.
"Miss west" Smith called out my name and passed me some documents to sign as our partnership
After a couple of minutes of signing here and there, he finally got up and left telling me he'll he seeing me tomorrow and biding his son a good bye with a Curt nod giving him a hard stare before walking out.
I could feel the tension in the room
I quickly got up and took my hand bag , now facing Shawn who was now on his feet staring at me
"Uhm-"
"Have I met you before?" He asked, cutting me off my sentence
"I'm not sure" I replied. My gaze on the floor
"Well you look very familiar.. like I've met you somewhere,but can't place my fingers on it" he said
"Uhm maybe I was just a passer-by" I said shrugging
"Okay,yeah you probably right" he said smiling at me
I smiled back in return as we strode outside the room and down the hall, till we got to the elevator. We stayed in silence for a while before I decided to speak up
"So how is your sister?" I asked not staring at him
"How do u know I have a sister?"
He asked with a brow up. Oh shit. I totally forgot we just met.
"Uhm the news papers" I replied not once glancing at him
"Okay .." he said hesitantly but buying my answer anyways. Oh well.
The ding of the elevator snapped me out of my thoughts as we both walked out and towards the exit.

SHAWN POV.
I escorted Veronica towards her black honda. She turns towards me and give me one of those her breathtaking smile
"Well uhm-i guess I'll be seeing you tomorrow yeah?"
"Yeah" i smiled at her as response
"Aiit" she gives me one of those slant response
"Aiit" I replied back akwardly
She chuckled and entered her car as she was about to close the door before I stopped her
"Uhm-can I get your number?"
"Sure".
I handed her my phone as she typed down my number. I gave her a nod and a dimpled smile before stepping back as she drove away, leaving trails of tyre marks
I walked to my car at the car park but couldn't stop my mind from wandering back to Veronica.
I can swear to god that I have met her before, but I don't know where.
If I am going to find out where I have met her, I have to get close to her.
Very soon I will know who the real Veronica is.
