As the time was passing, the boy... ah, well, I'll stop hiding his name. His name was Brian.

Brian couldn't hold back his feelings for Joan, he must stop torturing himself and confess to her... confess to her that he loves her. So, he decided that the following day was the best day to do it, since he couldn't afford to wait any longer.

The D Day had come, he has to stand his ground now. It way all but easy, because he was so afraid of her that his hands began to shake and his heart was pounding so loudly that his room echoed. He sent her a text where it was all said... maybe that was a mistake, maybe he should've told her that personally and not text her.

Her reply was:
-Look. You're a good person, and I really like you, to be honest... but only as a friend.

His mind... shattered into tiny bits like glass, his hands out of the blue became so powerless they couldn't hold the phone anymore, his voice broke, his legs were so weakened he sat down on the floor so fast, as if he was thrown down... he covered his face with his hands and... his shoulders started jumping up and down... he was crying...

Those ten minutes of crying in absolute solitude... felt like multiple eternities. He regained enough strength to get up walk slowly. It took him the entire day to recover the physical damage.

Next day, they both pretended like nothing happened, and ignored each other for a short period of time.

Then, just when he'd hoped he got cured... he fell in love with her again... but this time, he was never going to tell her because... no is always going to be no, right?

Then he saw his best friend, Benjamin, being nicer towards Joan... nicer than usual.

"Well." -he thought- "Being nice to someone can't be wrong. I'm probably just being paranoid."

Until one day... she called his friend by his nickname... and she never did that to Brian.

He knew she was firting with Benjamin, because she called everyone by their full name, and she called Benjamin by his nickname...

He was shattered again... afraid that he might lose his best friend. The picture of the love of his life taking his friend instead of him... haunted him every day until he decided fo distance himself from her... and from his best friend... which Benjamin didn't notice at first.

Brian was getting more and more paranoid every day, until he started seeing himself in pain while fighting the person that used to be his friend... just like Obi-Wan and Anakin fought on Mustafar when Anakin just became Darth Vader.

But there was still the question; which one of these two was Brian in this story? Was he Anakin, the traitor... or was he the brokenhearted Obi-Wan?
