devastating moments.
where the people of our world read
and watched in appall, on every tv screen
that the two towers in new york
—in the nation of freedom, which was
proudly held in red white and blue—
were hurled down to the ground into
ash, smoke and dust.
where the people of our nation cried
for the ones they didnt get to say
their goodbyes to, that were somewhere
in a place far, far away
and where the others, shock stricken
by the terrorizing sight
stood from the patios of coffee stores,
restaurants, work, their own homes
and witnessed the burning and deaths
of 3,000 people.
