Jess's POV
This girl is really sweet that I'm modeling with.
We talk a lot and she seems nice so I decide to give her my number so we can hang out,
A few weeks pass and McKenna and I hang out a lot and she slowly becomes my best friend.
I tell her over lunch that I'm looking for a roommate and she gets excited and asks if she can live with me.
It's like having my own little sister, she's so full of energy but whenever I bring up her love life she goes quiet and I see hurt in her eyes.
(A month later)
McKenna's POV
I meet Jess in a cute Chinese restaurant for dinner, she said she wants me to meet someone, probably her new boyfriend.
That word feels so foreign to me.
She arrives after a few minutes and she says her special someone hasn't arrived yet.
"He's a bit moody, so play your cards right." She laughs and continues "and he'll be staying at our place tonight so yeah but he's awesome." She seems so happy and that makes me happy.
He doesn't arrive after an hour so Jess calls him and he says he got stuck in traffic but he should be there soon.
We order drinks, Jess gets a cocktail and I just get a mocktail.
I'm not in the mood for alcohol.
I go to the bathroom and then I go back to the table and go to get another drink.
When I return Jess is at the table with her boyfriend.
I look at his face when he turns his head.
The glass I'm holding slips out of my grip and I feel weak at the knees.
I need to get out of here.
