Harry's POV
~
Me and the Weasley's were now at King's Cross station, and me, Ron, and Ginny were boarding the scarlet train. "Bye Mum!" I heard Ginny and Ron yell, "Bye Dad!" I said goodbye to Ron's parents and walked along the passage way to the compartments. I saw Hermione sitting in one of them with a very large book in her hands. She was looking very pretty...ugh stop Harry, and you are friends anyway, you can't feel this way. I sat down next to her and I said, "Hey Hermione!" She looked up and I saw her big and beautiful brown eyes. "Hey Harry! Hey Ron!" She said as she hugged us both. "Hey Ginny!" She said as she saw her pass the corridor. Ginny smiled at her, but glared at me. She must have been busy, because I saw her sit in a compartment with a blonde haired, pale and pointed faced boy, Draco Malfoy. I couldn't believe that she would go and sit with him. But a dreamy voice distracted me from that. "Hello Harry!" Said Luna Lovegood curiously. She had grown very pretty, but she was now dating Neville Longbottom, whom she was holding by the hand. "Hello!" Neville said. He had also gotten much better looking since the last time I saw him. We all said hello and we talked for a while.
Harry's POV
A little while later...
We were approaching Hogwarts and had put on our new robes, which had changed for the eighth years. They now where the darkest shade of whichever house you were in, almost looking black. The eight year Ravenclaws had dark blue ones, the Slytherins had dark green ones, Hufflepuffs were a very dark yellow, and the eighth year Gryffindors were a dark shade of scarlet. They finally got off the train, and walked down to see Hagrid, who was as big and scraggly as ever. "Ello Hermione! Harry! Ron! I'm so happy to see yeh." He gave us all hugs which probably broke our bones, but I was very glad to see him.
This year, we got across the lake in flying carriages which were driven by thestrals, which now Hermione and Ron could see, because they saw many people die in the battle of Hogwarts. We flew over the water, and got down on the ground where we entered through the large front doors.
As we walked through the front door, I saw Ginny, Luna, and other familiar faces. We sat down at the large table next to the Slytherins. "Potter." I heard a voice say. "Hey Potter." I turned around to see Draco Malfoy, who looked much different than he used too. His hair, instead of being slicked back, was hanging around his head casually, and his cold grey eyes were now a warmer, kinder, icy blue.
"Listen Potter, I'm really sorry for what I put you through when we were kids. I'm a changed man now, really. Could you please forgive me? Maybe we can be friends..." his voice trailed off.
Draco looked very desperate, and a look of guilt shot through my body. "Draco." I said, that surprised me, because we always used to call each other by our last names, "I will forgive you. Friends?" "Friends." He said as a smile crossed his face. That felt surprisingly good, no grudges or threats on the first day back at Hogwarts.
