"Manoku! Get your ass in here NOW!"
As I entered the grand ballroom I looked down to see my wife laying on the tile floor screaming in pain. As she was about to birth our first-born and birth a child for many others. This could be seen as a surrogacy. But there was no time to explain the rest as I had to tend to my wife in labor pains. While I had stepped out of the room I had went to gather the baby's other parents. Those being of vampires and gods/demons who were impatiently waiting for her arrival.
They were all entities of royalty who casted a part of their great power into a small being. Wanting her to be an all powerful and strong woman as she grew but also to be their baby girl.
They entered the room along with me watching as my wife Mana heaved, hoved, and cried as she was about to deliver the baby. I sat beside her and held her hand as she squeezed it tightly along with pushing. She pushed and pushed and finally the baby was here.
Red Blood. Screaming. But no crying.
But there was no cries coming from the baby rather she was as quiet as a mouse. Mana began to panic in terror screaming at me wondering why the baby wasn't crying.
"Manoku... Manoku! Why isn't the baby crying..."?
I didn't even take my gaze off our baby as Mana screamed in terror at me. I continued to gaze into her fiery red eyes as she was alive and alert. In my arms I could feel her soft heartbeat and heavy sigh as she seemed bored with me already and the corners of her lips frowned. I chuckled for a second until I felt a swift breeze nearby. While seeing a swift movement out of the corner of my eye.
Nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to witness next.
That demon Katasji swiftly passed me slowly turning his head to face me as he had a evil grin on his face. It shook me to know a god could look so evil and intimidating. I stood their stoned face as I watched him grab a sword unaware of his evil demise. Mana was unaware as she looked on at me lovingly as I held our baby in my arms. Katasji then thrusted the sword through her leaving a gaping hole with her being bloodier than ever.
Blood Spattered.
Her screams pierced my ears, and now I shall die by the hands of that same mad man.
I had no time to think or react or even feel upset about it. I heard screams of terror from the others in the room and saw that they began to run towards Katasji but he was too quick on his feet. In my final thought's I wasn't enraged, I should've but somehow, I knew it would come to this.
The thought of death didn't even cross my mind as my wife laid there in a puddle of blood. But is death, is that what will become of me? How could we have been so blind as to not realize we were just decoys.
"Beware of Katasji." That is the my final words I uttered as I was slew by the same sword that killed my wife.
The baby then slipping out of my arms at the same moment she uttered her first sounds as I uttered my last. She began to whimper and wail as I dropped to the floor. I felt the blood ooze out from my side and I came to clutch my child tightly. Before I heaved my last breath I muttered under my breath.
"Beware of Katasji".
My child I held so tightly at once in my arms I felt slowly roll out of as I hit the floor with a thud and my breathing slowed with my eyes rolling back.
Before I closed my eyes for the last time I saw a battle ensue among the vampires and demons versus Katasji. Their power was unmatched to his and with them being weak and out of breath, Katasji came walking towards me. I expected him to give me the final blow and thrust his sword into me as he did Mana. But instead he smirked at me, then picking the child up out of my hands. Again the child fell silent. And with that Katasji took the child away into his own dimension. And I saw the light for the last time.
Beware of Katasji.
