My father lifted his hands high and a green light emitted from them. Zapping my room floor with a green thunder bolt.
ZAAP!!
A portal opened up from the ground beneath me and I fell through screaming at the top of my lungs.
"AHHH!"
While free falling into the darkness he had created I began to look up. I saw my father have a look of disgust as he begun to scoff at me and walk away just as he closed the portal. I hit the ground below with a heavy thud. I was too weak to even keep my eyes open. With my eyes growing heavy and my body becoming limp, I succumbed to the darkness.
**********
I was awaken by the soft whispers of a female voice as she spoke to another presence in the room.
"Her father is so cruel he does this everytime he doesn't want to deal with her." a woman's voice whispered across the room.
"If only I could go to Nevaeh myself I wo-"! a man's voice raised. Before the woman in the room shushed him.
"Hush! Before you wake her!" she hurriedly whispered.
After that I did not hear the man's voice again. Neither did I hear the woman's. I was slowly gaining consciousness and getting an ideal of where I was but I decided to lay down longer as I still felt weak. I felt around the area I was in with my hand feeling the soft, cool, cushion of a pillow underneath my head and the warmth of a warm blanket wrapped around my body. I smelled a pungent, aromatic, and note of lemon scent in the air. Is that ginger? I wonder to myself. My eyes began to flutter open and I realized that I was in my bedroom in Lleh.
Beside me on my nightstand sat a tea pot full of the gingery smell I smelled earlier along with a towel in hot water. I wrung out the towel and rested it on my forehead and continued to lay down. As soon as I rested my head on my pillow the door creaked open and a woman appeared. She turned around to close the door not even noticing that I was awake. My vision was still hazy from just waking up but her long black hair looked silky and cascaded down her back, her skin was that of caramel and she wore a pink silk robe with slippers. As my vision became clear I came to realize this lady looked a lot like me! This lady I was eyeing is my mother.
"Vamparah, you're awake! How are you feeling?"
"I'm good ma." I softly said.
It was so nice to see my mother for a change. I hardly ever get to see her hence as to why I was confused as to who she was at first.
"Your father is being an asshole again isn't he?" she sighed out as she took a seat on the end of the bed.
"The biggest ma! I just didn't want to go to school because you know how those kids are!" I screamed out.
"Now calm down Vamparah. You took a pretty sturdy tumble I don't want you to overexert yourself." My mother says to me in the most calming voice staring at me.
I decided to be quiet and she stood up and brushed herself off and began to pour me a cup of the ginger tea she had made.
"Now drink this. It should soothe your aches. I will go run you a bath."
My mom then walked into the bathroom nearby and began to draw water for my bath. The stream of water rushing down calmed me as I drank my tea. Having me be one with my thoughs of wishing I could live with any other of my parents in their kingdoms are even in the mundane world. Every now and then I was permitted a visit but ultimately I never stayed long unless my father was upset with me like he is now. I wish I was saved of my misery already when it came to living with that man. I always wondered why no one would stand up to him. But if he doesn't even care about me his own why would he care about others?
As I was lost in my thoughts I was startled by a male voice who had also entered the room.
"Vamparah!"
I looked this male figure up and down and recognized that it was my step-father who stepped into the room.
"Hey" I weakishly say and wave at him.
"How are you feeling dear?" He gently said to me.
He then sat on the side of the bed and began to rough up my hair. Leaving it even more messy and frizzy than even before.
He was a real dad. A dad who cared about me my feelings, my health, and much more.
"I feel better now that you and ma are taking real good care of me!" I exclaimed. Readily happy that I was around people who cared for me and wasn't putting me down.
"Mananaya!" My stepfather called out to my mother. But she didn't hear him over the rushing water she was running into the tub.
"It seems like your mother didn't quite hear me..." he said scratching his temple.
"Meh it's fine go and take your bath Vamp."
----------------------------------
I spent the rest of the month in Lleh alongside my mother and my stepfather. There I attended demon school where I felt more at home and at ease. A very different experience from goddess school. At demon school we surprisingly have a good bit of nice people. I wasn't tease every second for being any different from any of them. Atleast it wasn't shown to me in the slightest. While attending school we get to learn of our abilities and to perfect them; these abilities can be dark magic, weilding swords, shape-shifting, and more incredible abilities.
While here I have gained a group of friends Rouge, Vanessa, Chris, and Richard. They do make being here a better experience rather than believing that I am here on punishment. We began to hang out at my place frequently and on this day I thought about my father Katasji.
"Vamp, you okay? You look like you're in deep thought..." Vanessa said to me. While leaning in to see the glaze over my eyes.
"Yeah, I'm okay." I replied back. Not wanting to worry them. I just was wondering when my father would whisk me away again. I enjoyed it here. I had no care or worry. Which seems the complete opposite of what it should be in Lleh. But we all liv-
CRASH!!
We heard a loud uproaring from beneath us. The floors boarding had become loose and the wood started to snap furiously as a black hole appeared. My mother had ran into the room bewildered at the sight.
"What the hell!" she screamed out.
Out of the black hole was an emit of green light. The same green light that had sent me here.
My father has sent for me.
The emit of green light wraps arounds me encasing me in its glow. My mother screams in terror as she sees the light dragging me to the black hole. She grabs a hold of me for a brief second but has to let go due to the light burning her hand. She screams in pain and my friends all look on bewildered not knowing what to do.
With that I am dragged towards the black hole and once again free falling into a dark abyss.
