How it happened

Mason was a quirky guy. Not many people knew him, and the ones that did didn't truly know him. No one except his aunt, she was the person who stuck with him through thick and thin, no matter what. For that Mason thanked her. Mason never wondered why most people left him, he just assumed it was because he did something wrong. I mean who would want to be friends with a pathologist who talks to the dead. Mason lived in a Gothic looking house around the edge of the woods in La Push. It was a big house, but it was an old house. Built around the time the Salem Witch Trials had started. Passed down from generation to generation.

Mason was the only Pathologist in the Forks /La Push county. He was 20 years old and looked rather intimidating with his fighters physique. Many people avoided him and started rumors about him all the time. He was the "bad boy" of the area. That was of course true in most aspects but completely wrong in others. Like for instance the steroids/drugs rumor, Mason would rather die than use drugs/steroids but he does smoke cigarettes. He listens to 80's rock, Guns N' Roses or AC\DC mostly. He either wear navy blue or black clothes. He drives a motorcycle. He knows how to fight and how to shoot guns, crossbows, bow and arrows, etc., though he rarely uses them (they bring up bad memories). But if someone was to come up to him and ask him, he's usually in another land or half there.

Mason had many reasons to stay away from people. Mainly why he got a job working with the dead. Mason can see ghosts, no not like boo ghosts or the oogie boogie man, but rather spirits unsatisfied with something and stuck in the in-between, the souls trapped with one thing or another, tied down to the earth unable to move on. Aside from this Mason also has two different supernatural forms. One is a wolf that is black and blueish purple. The other is his Grimm form. He uses this form when he is injured or needs to fight with a mist covering him. It was rare to see him in this form, he always disliked it. When ever he was in this form he usually didn't keep his rationality and reasoning. Whenever he was in this form something bad was happening.

Mason's mom was a apprentice of the goddess Circe. She was in fact her first and most talented apprentice. Mason's father was the alpha spirit warrior of the Quilette pack until he was kicked out for a marriage to another breed of supernatural creature. When Mason was born the a Quilette member tried to kill Mason, believing he would be an uncontrollable monster. But Mason's mother used her body as a shield and with her dying breath cast a spell to show the pack of her imprinting with their Alpha. The pack realized their mistake and soon changed back to men, begging for the forgiveness of their Alpha. But when Astra died, Christian lost his will to live. The pack tried to stop him, but was unable, and that night Christian killed himself.

Filled with remorse and regret the pack decided that it was their duty to raise the boy as their own. Deciding that Mason would be living in his parents house with the pack members watching over him, teaching him, and showing him how to control his gifts on his mothers side. His mother had a sister, and this was the woman that truly taught Mason how to live and be happy, she helped him through every little gift he received and taught him to accept himself. She knew because Astra thought this might happen and wrote about how to help him and teach him in a diary hidden in the babies room. They decided to tell  the boy the truth of his parents death when he turned 16. This would be around the age he began to show signs of the change. Until then he would grown up believing they died in a car accident. He would be the next true Alpha.

He grew up always feeling like and outsider to the community, never truly knowing of his origin. He only had one friend in the tribe, his name was Sam Uley. He and Sam were inseparable. At one point they were a couple but Sam broke it off after finding Leah. Sam had shifted before Mason did. When Sam said they couldn't be friends anymore and left him it caused Mason to shift. When Mason shifted Sam gladly became Mason's second in command. That was the moment Mason was told of his true origin story. When he was told, he was angry, so angry in fact that he changed into his Grim form. It was the first and only time he had hurt someone. When he tried to go after his parents murderer Sam got to close and Mason cut him. Not on purpose but it still caused Sam to have a massive scar running down his chest.
