Two weeks later
Charlie was currently watching tv in his living room when there was a knock on the door. He paused the tv and answered the door. "Hey babe." He heard when he opened the door. He was then attached into a hug from his girlfriend.
Layla let go of Charlie and stood next to her sister. They have been going out for the last week after Charlie asked her to officially be his girlfriend. They had went out for ice cream and then he invited her over to watch a movie before he asked her out.
"Hello to you too." He answers as he places a kiss on her lips. "Hey, Talia. So, what's up? Are we going out?" He asked. Everyday they had gone on a new adventure. He was learning more and more about the twins, but everyday he was getting new questions whenever they hung out.
"Well since tonight is the last night of summer before we start our senior year, a bunch of us are going to this spot to hang out. It's mostly our close friends. So, are you in or are you out?" Talia asks.
Over the last little while he had learned that the twins ran in the popular crowd, but they were only close with each other. Everyone was attracted to them like a magnet. The mystery was the reason they were so popular.
"Yes, give me two seconds." He said as he grabbed his wallet and a jacket off the hook. "Mom I'm going out with the twins." He called out.
"Ok have fun, remember not too late as you have school tomorrow." She called back.
"Ok let's go. Trent is picking us up in his truck." Talia said.
"What happened to Trevor?" He asked shutting the door behind him. The two girls look at each other before one responds.
"He is ancient history." Layla says as a green truck pull up out front of his house. The driver honked the horn at the teens.
"Let's go seniors." Trent called out siting in his window and hitting the roof of his truck.
"Hold on I have to grab our stuff." Talia yells back as she grabs a duffel bag off their porch and she ran over to get into the can of the truck. "You two are in the back."
"Let's go live life." Layla says as they head to the truck. Charlie hops into the bed of the truck and holds a hand out to Layla who he then helps up. They sit down and lean against the window as they pull away from the curb.
"I can't believe summer is over already." Charlie says. Although he hadn't lived here for long the last few weeks have been action packed. He never knew he was missing out on so much.
"Yeah but we still have tonight." She says leaning over to kiss him and he responds by pulling her closer to him and kissing her back.

Half and hour later, they arrived outside of a forest where there were few other vehicles parked. "Alright now that the twins are here, we are ready to go. Everyone, grab something." A teen yelled as they got out of the truck. Everyone grabbed a bucket, a cooler or a bag and then walked into the forest.
"where are we going?" Charlie asked as he walked down the path holding Layla's hand.
"There is a pond at the end of the path. It's where we go to hang out." She replies as she re adjusts the duffel bag. "and we are here." She yells as she lets go of Charlie's hand and runs over. The path opened up into a clearing with the pond sitting in the middle. It was more of a lake as it was the size of a football field. Around the edges of the clearing lights were hung and were being plugged into a generator that one of the teens had brought.
