The door opens and I'm faced with a casual looking Peter, his hair slightly tussled and his eyes wide and innocent. God why does he still make me feel this way?
"Oh hey Quinn! MJ, Ned, and Liz are already here!" He motions for me to go passed him as he holds open the door.
I walk in to see everyone in a small circle on the floor of Peters small apartment. I see Liz sitting on the couch Peter and I used to sit on. A simple brown leather loveseat, one of which holds some of my favorite memories, now tainted by her cheep perfume and caked on makeup.
I take a seat next to MJ and Ned, while Peter sits in his usual spot on the couch, this time next to Liz, not me.
"Why are we here?!" I blurt out, gesturing towards MJ, Ned and I. "If you hadn't noticed, we aren't friends anymore." This time I gesture towards him and I.
He looks stunned before answering in a hurt tone, "Why?"
This one word makes my blood broil and I stand, MJ following, placing a hand on my shoulder to stop me from losing my temper.
"'Why'?! Why? Because you never even acknowledge us anymore! And when you do it's always about your bimbo!" I pout towards Liz in rage. "But remember this, when she goes whoring around, don't come crying to us!" I stomp towards the door, but Peter catches my arm.
"I can fix this! Please let me fix this!" His chocolate eyes plead with my, the tears in his eyes make the golden specks in them seem to sparkle.
I look him directly in the eye before saying,
"It's already too late."
