I groaned as I heard my alarm clock going off. Ughhh. I don't want to go to school today. I rolled out of bed and went to my closet. Hi. My name is Hayley. I am 19 years old in college. I live by myself and have since I was 14. I work at the grill in town. Niklaus checks on me once a week and gives me money for food when I don't have any. He took me in when I had no place to go. He's sorta like a adopted parent but not really. I got out a outfit before going to the bathroom hopping in the shower. I took a quick shower before brushing my hair and changing.

I pulled my hair back into a cute low bun before shoving a beanie in my backpack just in case. I also put my books, notebooks, and computer in their. I shrugged it on before looking around my room one last time. I need to clean tonight. There is toys and little stuff everywhere. I grabbed my phone off the charger before going downstairs to the kitchen. I jumped when I saw Klaus standing there. "Jesus Klaus. What are you doing here? It's not Friday"
I said grabbing a energy drink and a apple. I took a bite of the apple. "I was coming to make sure your not late for your class. Again. It starts at 12" he said. I nodded. "I know. Jenna is going to give me a ride at 11:45. I have work till then" I said slipping my shoes on. "When do you get off?" He asked following me out. "I have to go back after school. So probably around 8 or 9 tonight" I said. "Hayley, your going to overwork yourself" he said. I shrugged. "I need the money and I don't feel like cheating my way through college" I said hopping on my bike. That's right. I drive a motorcycle. Klaus don't like it but I love it. "Compulsion is not cheating" he said. I laughed. "I got to go Klaus. Are you coming over tonight?" I asked. "I was planning on it but Elijah is supposed to be in town. I'll call when I figure it out" he said. I nodded. Hmm wonder who Elijah is. "Bye Klaus" I said before riding away to the grill. I got there and grabbed my bag before shoving my keys in my pocket. "Hey Jenna" I said slipping my apron on. "Hi" she said. I pulled out my computer and English 2 book before working on both. I got busy reading when I didn't notice the customer in front of me. I looked up and jumped slightly. "I'm sorry"
I said. "Your quite alright love. I am in no rush. Take your time" he said smiling. I smiled at looked at the ground. "What can I get you?" I asked. "1 order of fries, a Diet Coke and your phone number?" He asked. I smiled. "I can give you 2 / 3 of those items" I said before he winked at me. I went to the back and grabbed his fries and drink before going back to see him looking at my book. I handed him his order. "High school?" He asked. "College. 2nd year" I said. "Got any classes today ?" He asked. I nodded and looked at the time. "I got one in a hour" I said wiping the counter off. It wasn't busy today. He was the only one at my spot at the bar and the only other people here was someone playing pool and Jenna's cousin. "Why are you working if you have a class soon?" He asked. I sighed before typing something on my computer. "I need the money" I said. "I can help you with that" he said smirking. I smirked at him. "I can help myself at that to" I said. I looked around before flashing my fangs. "Thought you were a wolf. You have that gleam in your eye" he said. I nodded. "I am. I'm a Hybrid" I said. "Ohh. So is my brother" he said. "Niklaus?" I asked. He's the only other hybrid I know of. "How do you know him?" He asked shocked I knew. "He helps take care of me. He took me in when I was younger. He told me about you" I said. He smiled. "Like what?"
