From a far away village there's a girl named Yuri , she's a 17 year old girl who lives with her family. She's an only child and she is a adorable girl who can make every one in the village smile. But one day the adorable girl changed, she became quiet and sad.
While she's on her way from school she met an older lady on the street. She seems to notice the sadness in the eye of the young woman. The old woman approached the girl and ask " what's wrong young lady you seems gloomy” the girl remain in silent for a second and said " how come that you notice it grandma".
The old woman hold the hand of the girl and said " you can hide your feelings on your own but your eyes is showing it". The girl just nod, " Always remember this whatever it takes, its not the reason to change your self, its not the reason to shut out all of the people who's willing to help you” the old woman said and left the girl on the side of the busy street.
Yuri keep on thinking what the old woman is talking about. When she reached her home, she heard her mother and father fighting again. "Ever since that we met, my life became miserable! I am the one who always doing everything" her mother said, " I didn't even asked you to do all of it. That's the wrong thing about you! You always take everything by your self. " her father said. Yuri went inside and saw that her mother is already packing her things, "What's happening here?" She asked even she already knew that her mom is already made a decision.
One week ago
Yuri saw her mother crying, it was the first time she saw her cry. She approached her mother and asked " What happened mother?" Her mother just hugged her and said " I give up on your father." Yuri got shocked but she tried to composed herself and said " Then mother, you should let go. If you can't handle it anymore stop already. If you're thinking about me, don't be bothered I can handle my self."
Her mother just gave her a warm hug that made her cry in silent.
As she remembered the conversation between her and her mother. A warm liquid run through her cheek as she saw how her mother leave without a word.
She knew everything but she just remained in silent as the days goes by she becomes more gloomy and every people in the village noticed it. And she also got really affected because of what happened. One night Yuri decide to roam around the village, she end up in a Cliff where she can be able to see the whole village.
She just sat under a tree and stare at the sky full of bright stars.
She got shock when a guy approached her , " Its alright to cry because crying isn't a sign of being weak, its also a sign that you're strong enough to let everyone to see your emotions. And opening up can help you feel better." The guy said, Yuri just stared at the guy she know him " Do you know that this is my first time that I keep my emotions because I don't want them to see me weak. I really don't know how will I handle my situation right now." Yuri said and the guy just nod like saying continue, " My mother just left us I know the reason why she did it, she's already tired because of my father. The worse is in my 17 years of existence they let me experience a complete family but in just a snap I lost it. I am now a broken family." She said. The guy stay in silent its looks like he's analyzing the situation. The guy realized that they have the same situation. "Do you know that family is like a book?" He suddenly said, Yuri just look at him with a confused look.
"Why? Because family is compose with a mother, father, sister, and brother. Like a book that compose with a book front cover as the father, the pages as the brother and sister and the back cover as the mother. Sometimes there's a book that is wrecked like no front cover, theres a missing pages and sometimes no back cover. Just like a broken family its either no mother or no father. But you know what even though a book is wrecked its still called a book like a broken family that even though its broken its still called family. My main point is whatever kind of family you have it doesn't matter if its complete or broken its still called family." The guy said and Yuri got amazed she think that he has the point. " I'm curious its like you knew me well the way you talk all of that." Yuri said and the guy just laugh and say " we're just in the same situation. Let's go its already late you should at home already at this time."the guy stand up also Yuri and they walk down together.
Days, and months passed by some rumors start to spread around the village that Yuri's mother left for another guy and so more. Sometimes Yuri experienced being bullied because of having a broken family but she didn't let it to affect her. Instead of being a rebel she continue her study to prove everyone that being a girl who has a broken family its not the reason to give up and quit persuing her dreams. She didnt let everyone to bring her down instead she stand up again and continue her journey. A year after she graduate at her senior year and she proves that having a broken family is not a reason to quit but instead its an inspiration to reach your dreams.
