You and Bruce have known each other for a long time, and have been dating for just as long. So when he had taken up the offer to be a part of the Avengers initiative you were slightly confused. You still trusted his judgement so you left with him to New York.

You were both in the lab looking at the scepter, when everyone else came in. Then a whole argument began; Bruce butted in a few times while you stood behind him. Next thing you know Bruce picks up the scepter and everyone stops.

"Bruce." You say softly, he looks down to see the scepter in his hand. He puts it down.

"I'm sorr-" then the quinjet shakes, and you start to panic. He turns to you to calm you down but then the quinjet shakes again and you fall and hit your head. You pass out.

Next thing you know is Fury is letting you see Bruce. You set down on the ground and see how ruined New York is. Then you see him, Hulk so you run over to him and you hug his leg. He was caught off guard until he realized it was you, so he picks you up and hugs you back gently.

The rest of the team is dumbfounded.

"How can you do that?!" Tony asked.

"I've known Bruce for most of my life, so I've also known Hulk for most of his."

You then whisper in Hulk's ear.

"Okay" he replies sadly. He then shrinks back into the man you love, and you put a blanket over his shoulders.

"Are you okay?" You ask concerned. He nods in response, you know he doesn't like talking much after being the Hulk.

"Did you guys beat him?"

"Yeah, it was tough but we did." Steve replies, you nod in response and guide Bruce back to Fury so he can take you both home. You both get on the helicopter Fury provided and you sit next to Bruce. He lays his head on your shoulder and closes his eyes.

"When we get home we're gonna take the biggest nap, we've both had a long day." You say, he chuckles in reply.

"Yeah a real long nap."
