"The transaction is complete," the man behind the desk said, his grey eyes glancing dully at her.
"Thank you," she replied, a glow rising from her chest. This is the best I've pulled off.
"I would like to take out 50 gold,"
"Certainl-" He was cut off, as the ornate door flung open violently.
"SEIZE HER!" a man yelled, gesturing towards her.
Her eyes darted to any possible escapes. There were none.
Roughly, two men, clad in iron, grabbed her wrists, dragging her towards the man that yelled. Her blonde hair hung limply, blocking her view. A hand pulled her hair back.
He had bright emerald eyes, flashing with mirth, his dark hair styled in waves, and a smile of satisfication played his lips He was of higher status, obvious with his more decorative armour and badges of sorts on his arms.
"Handed it straight to me," he said, pulled out a crimson gem from his pocket, the exact same one she had given to the hooded man earlier.
She didn't recognise his face but his voice was alarmingly familiar.
"You..."
"Fool, thought you could sell the gem to me, and then tried to double cross me with a fake..." he smirked, anger boiled inside her. "Now... where's the real one?"
"Like I'd tell you,"
"I'm afraid you will, and that's not all you will be telling," his smirk widened. "You will also give the names of any accomplices."
"Accomplices?"
"Don't play stupid, it's not possible for you to obtain the Destrine Gem yourself,"
"Well pity, because I did" she snapped, feeling some sort of victory over the arrogant man.
"We'll have the information out of her sooner or later, for now we'll take her to the prison and inform the King," the emerald eyed man said, the other two nodded.
