The night air felt light and cool against the brand new Demon Slayer Tanjirou Kamado and demon sister Nezuko. "This is amazing Nezuko I'm one step closer in find a cure." He said smiling at his sister who hummed eyes closed in happiness the crickets chirping all around them. There was a squawk making both look up seeing his crow flying down towards him making Tanjiro stop and lift his arm. Sharp black talons wrapped around checkered fabric "Quick a demon attacked the kitsune shrine," the crow yelled out as it took off towards the destination. Running faster Tanjiro started to smell blood through the air the scents of the people that lived in the shrine and the other that made him freeze. It was the same scent the one that was in his home the day he found his whole family slaughtered and Nezuko a demon. Muzan Kibutsuji.
Running faster than before the crow quickly had to pick up speed and run seeing the entrance of the shrine house where the smell of blood increased. "Stupid fox!" A deep voice exclaimed followed by a high pitched bark and something crashing into wood hard breaking wooden planks. "Its a corpse!" The voice stated as Tanjiro ran faster seeing what looked like a broken shrine house the sliding doors broken what an older woman laying on the ground dead. Blood dripped from the tall porch and the voice belonging to a demon male 'That's not the demon from my home,' Tanjiro thought. It didn't seem to notice him and seemed more annoyed at whatever it was the was causing it to yell out angrily for not being allowed to eat the corpse.
The sounds of wood rolling made him look to the side seeing logs rolling along the floor as something started to pull itself out from the pile. 'A fox.' Tanjiro thought in shock seeing the creature pull itself out of the logs bloody and beaten. 'It's protecting the body.' Tanjiro thought seeing Pieces of wood imbedded in the foxes body. But it moved to stand between the old woman and demon blood dripping from its wounds. And for a moment Nezuko who had been watching saw instead of the fox her big brother. Her brother who was protecting their siblings making her tense in anger seeing the demon.
"I'll kill you!" The demon exclaimed running towards the fox nails sharp like knives eyes wide like a beast. The fox stood its ground ready to attack with the last of its strength only to watch a girl kick the demon away. "Gah! You brat! That's my free food!" The demon roared out watching the girl stand in front of the fox and body. Tanjiro quickly stood beside his sister sword unsheathed "Nezuko protect my them," he said seeing his sister nod and run back. Tanjiro stared at the demon that growled and charged towards him as he took a deep breath and exhaled steam.
"Water Breathing Fourth form, Striking Tide!"
