He sits on his throne. The Queen is on the other side of him. Jewels hang from her hair and her dress quilted neatly. The king has his staff in his hand. I stand there right with my head down and myself bound to the Queen.
A peasant approaches them with two guards around him. “My Lord, your highness,” the peasant pleas as he gets on his knees. Queen stared down at him with narrow eyes. “I’m guessing you want money don’t you?” She says coldly. The peasant gulps and nods. “Please my daughter and wife are sick with a disease!” he raises his voice and clamps his hands together like he’s praying.
“If thats true then we simply have to get rid of them so others won’t get sick,” The Queen sighs and waves him off.
“What no please don’t kill my family!!” The peasant runs up the small stairs to them. I move in his way and lift my knife at his face.
Queen meia giggles. “Oh please like you can get past my loyal mage” Meia pats my shoulder. “She’s unique in her magic of course.”
Before the peasant can whisper a word, the guards take him by the arms and drag him down the stairs. I gulp as I notice how hard the guards are tugging him. The peasant screeches as loud as he could at the king and queen.
“Time for tea my love,” King bruise turns to her as soon as the peasant was out of ear shot. Meia nods. “First Liz darling change so we can go have a meeting with the head council. I want to show you off,” meia waves me off as the king helps her out of her chair, he kisses her hand and they both head down the stairs.
Rogric peeks his head out from the red curtains. He’s absolutely stupid. He drags my bag with his skinny arms. “Liz I found where the Queen hid it!”
     “Rogric you’re not helping”
     “Why?”
“Because she’s going back to her room as we speak” Liz takes the bag from him and throws it behind the thrones. “Thank you but get back to your cleaning before someone notices.”
Liz turns him around and shoves him back towards the red curtains.
“You already knew where it was?!” he says sadly and surprised at the same time. “Go!”
Rogric skips down the hallway and turns into one of the guest bedrooms.
