Olivia's POV
I walked down the street and wondered when the call would come that would either break my heart or be a dream come true. I suddenly remembered the cup of tea I was holding and took a sip. Suddenly my pocket started to vibrate. I pulled out my phone, hoping it was my agent. Yesterday I had gone to an audition for a really amazing role and I felt like I did pretty good. I know it's still early for them to have made a decision, but it was killing me not to know whether or not I got the part.
I looked at the caller I.D, and was a little disappointed to see it was Harry, but I clicked the green button anyways.
"Hey." My voice was super unenthusiastic, and I knew Harry could tell.
"Hey, you okay?"
"Yeah, I just... I was hoping..."
"You thought I was your agent?" Harry finished for me.
"Yeah."
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get the role. You're a great actress and they would be fools not to give it to you." That put a little smile on my face. Harry always had my back.
"Thanks."
"So, I was wondering, if you're not too busy tonight waiting for a call that you don't know when it will come, I was hoping we could get dinner at The Pearl, and then some ice cream and then there's a movie in the park."
"That sounds great, Harry! And, honestly, a night with you is the perfect distraction from waiting and worrying for this call." I added a little laugh.
"Great! I'll pick you up at your house at 7:30. The movie is at 9:30 so that should give us enough time to eat and then get ice cream then head to the park without feeling rushed."
"Awesome!" I'll see you then." With that we hung up the call. Harry and I had been dating for about a year now and I love him so much. He's always there for me and I'll always be there for him. I really could see myself growing old and having a life with him. I've never felt this way about anybody. Sometimes it scares me, but then Harry is right there to make me feel better.
At 7:30 on the dot, the doorbell rang. "Haz, can you get that?" I shouted through the house. "It's Harry!" I heard the door open and Haz and Harry start talking, although I couldn't hear what it was they were saying. Knowing Haz, it was probably some big brothery stuff to scare Harry. Even though we've been together a year, Haz still gives him the talk before everyone of our dates.
I walked down the stairs to see Harry sitting on the couch, Haz standing above him, hands on his hips. "Alright Haz, leave him alone. Don't you think you've told him all this enough?"
"I'll stop telling it all to him when I think he's really let it sink in."
"And when exactly do you think that will be?" Haz acted like he was actually thinking about his answer for a moment.
"When you either break up or get married."
"Well, I can assure you, Haz, I plan on it being the second choice." Haz squinted at him, but moved out of the way for Harry to get up.
"You look beautiful." He told me as he walked up to me.
"Thanks. You don't look so bad yourself." Haz and I walked out the door, hand and hand and left for the restaurant.
After Dinner, Harry and I got ice cream and walked down the street to head to the park.
"Harry? Thanks for tonight. I really needed it. I've been so stressed lately and I really just needed a night with you to really help. I love you."
"I love you too."
Suddenly my phone started ringing. "Sorry I guess I forgot to turn it off." I pulled it out of my purse to shut it off but then I noticed the name flashing across the screen. I froze.
"Who is it?" Harry asked.
"It's my agent. It's probably about the part."
"Answer it!"
"I can't. I'm scared." I really want this part and if I don't get it, it'll break me." The call was about to time out when Harry pressed the answer button and mouthed "talk."
"He... hello?"
"Olivia! You got the part!"
"What?" Hearing those words felt like a giant anvil got lifted off my chest. I breathed for the first time since the phone started ringing.
"They loved you. The parts yours. You're gonna be Tessa Young!"
"Oh my gosh!"
"Call me in the morning and I'll have more details for you."
"Okay. Thank you!" The call ended and I shoved my phone back into my purse.
"So?" Harry asked?
"I got the part!" A giant smile spread across both of our faces and he wrapped his arms around me. I still couldn't believe I got the part. Part of me kept waiting for my agent to call back saying it was a trick or something.
"Congratulations! I knew you'd get it!" We stood there for a few more seconds engulfed in happiness from the news I just got.
"I wonder who's gonna play your love interest. Do you know?"
"No. I don't even know if they've cast that part yet or not."
"Well, as long as you don't fall in love with them, I don't really care who gets that part."
I laughed. "Why would I fall in love with them when I have you?"

Author's Note: I know this chapter kinda sucks. But it will get better as it goes because the beginning is the hardest part for me to write. Anyways, thanks for reading and if you enjoyed it and want more, vote and comment. ❤
