"So...I've never really done this before and ah it's kinda weird meeting a stranger every 5 minutes huh? Like I was telling my friend last week-"

"And basically my brother thought he could just smoke his problems away, I tell him that I totally agree because cigarettes in my opinion are best to use when stressed-"

"I totally didnt think I wouldnt find these pumps, BUT THEN I DID, I was so happy and then I found a cute top to much along with some new lipstick and I just couldnt believe my luck! And then I saw this very nice dress-"

Your probably thinking, 'speed dating really? Why waste time meeting total strangers? Are you desperate?'
Well for one I thought it wouldnt hurt to try, but after meeting these girls I've starting to regret coming.

"And time! Alright next switch!"

The girl in front of me, who had way too many piercings if you asked me, sat up and left and a girl with short brunette hair and glasses sat in front of me

"Hello I'm Audrey"
She extended her hand for me to shake which I gladly took

"Hi, my names Jessica- whoa cool shirt!"
I noticed she was wearing a Spiderman T shirt

"Really? Nobody else seemed to like it"
She blushed

"I'm really into marvel, Spiderman is one of my favorites"

She had on the biggest smile I've ever seen and it was just too cute, she then asked me a question
"What else are you into?"

I told her about my interests on reading, enjoying some Tv shows like Good Omens and Mr Inbetween, which she also happens to enjoy and i mentioned my cat that I named Bruce and she told me about how she casually takes a walk through the park and drink tea and how she adored cats. I gotta say out of every girl I've met at this silly thing I'd say me and Audrey have a connection. I hadn't even realized that that our five minutes were up

"Switch!"

Audrey had a sad look on her face
"I dont want to switch"

"Then let's not switch"
She looked a little surprised

"We clearly clicked right?"
Audrey blushed and nodded

"Then lets get out of here"
I took her hand and we both rushed out of the building the speed dating was being held at.

Me and Audrey found a nice little Cafe and went inside.
I orders us some Coffee and Muffins, then we sat down at a nearby table.

Audrey giggled
"I still cant believe we just left"

I let out a chuckle
"Well we didnt necessarily have to stay"

"Werent we supposed to let anyone know or something?"

"Not sure but I wasnt having any fun til you came along"

Audrey blushed
"I was thinking the same thing"

"I think it would be awesome for Ross and Doctor Strange to meet each other" I said while Audrey finished her Coffee

"Well they were a pretty great duo back when Martin and Benedict were Watson and Sherlock"

"You've seen Sherlock? Yes! That's awesome, I thought I had to explain why I wanted Ross and Strange to meet. You have no idea how many times I had to"

"I liked them as Bilbo and Smaug too"

Okay I'm swoon

We smiled at each other and ate our muffins
In a comfortable silence.
An idea soon popped into my head.

"I know a library nearby here that has alot of comics, theres a Gambit vs Deadpool that I think youd like to read"

"I actually have read it before, I really liked it, very funny too"
She gave a sweet smile

I smirked
"Want to read it again?"

"Oh god yes"

Audrey pointed at two panels
"I find this part really funny"

I chuckled
"Its funny but I think this one tops it"
I flipped past some pages and stopped when I found what I was looking for

Audrey giggled
"Okay okay, I'll agree on that"
We giggled kinda loudly which earned us a 'shhhh' from the librarian but we didnt care

We laughed together
Chatted together
We had a blast

Now sometimes when it comes to romantic stories, a pair like us would've ended the day with a kiss or the clique of saying 'I love you'. Now do note I just met Audrey today. I did feel something special inside that made me like her very much and she felt the same. But there comes a time when you gotta take things slow and enjoy the moment, live it!

Me and Audrey were currently spinning around, our hands locked together on the grass of the park. I honestly couldnt hope for anything better. I'm not sure what the future holds, me and Audrey may someday become something more or we'll just remain friends. All I'll know is that ill be happy either way as long as I had her by my side

We'll face this crazy world together
