I think it was a heart broking story if u see it my way. Like

If you have seen the whole video so according to Me the story starts with a flash back from Drews side.

It could be after many years they have met and something might have happened In their life.

Wait a second let me catch my breath

Drew couldn't believe they met after all what had happened between them.

Remind me how it feels to hear your voice

It's from drew side. When they met he is having all those flashbacks from the past. The feeling of hearing Mays voice, Especially his favourite, The times when May gets annoyed. He is remembering all those moments together they had.
The tornado inside himself needed to be control, whatever may said wasn't even heard by him. His mind kept speaking while he watches Mays lips moving.

Livin' life as if we had a choice

He suddenly snap back into reality. The place, in front of the lake they both were there. Just them, Just then in the pic may was looking down. She was remembering her own flashbacks. And she looked at drew.

She remembers feeling the same for him, Doing anything she could do for him.Anywhere,Anyway,Anytime just Anything for him.

She remembers how she concentrated to catch his hand as soon as she got the whinewhip. Not caring about going alone herself. She tried her best to hold on for Drew. Even when they fall in the fast flowing river. She remembers how out of breath she was but yet she cared about DREW!

They must have been together at some point

May remembers those moments with him dreadfully.  She remembers how much she felt sad when they broke up. Every single moments were stuck In head replaying continuously.  Until she accepted the sore reality (don't ask me who broke up first)

Im in serious shit, I feel totally lost

Could I ever believe such a perfect surprise?

May was asking for help and probably she saw drew and the wynauts during their wynaut chain. She was so glad that time, But something struck her too. How much drew wanted to help her. How much he cared for her. How much he risk for her.
She couldn't believe such a perfect thing about Drew.  She couldn't believe he done it for her. Well not after what he did later( I mean the past here)

I keep asking myself, wondering how
I keep closing my eyes but I can't block you out

She thought she imagined the whole wynaut chain. She kept asking herself that if she saw it. And probably she (might possibly remembered*cough cough* Got to know accidently*cough cough* that she had feelings for him) she closed her eyes and denied it. And just at that moment Drew came.

She remembers all those feelings when she was alone with drew. Running away from the media, Spending time with him. Every single second with him. She wanted to get over the act of being innocent in front of other people.

This time it's from Drew's Side. He remembers all the things May said she  was in need for help. All the things about him.(imagine she said things about him) team rocket could be saying drew won't come but may kept denying that. Her thoughts about him Brave,Kind,Caring came out without knowing Drew was near her. All her thoughts about his courage and his determination during the contest when they both fight.

Let's get it from this point of view. May was now couldn't able to control the re emerging feelings inside her. She remembers when they broke up she cried because of Drew. (Ooh! Now I get it! Drew broke up with may. Let's say due to some other force he did. And said to may "Go cry I don't even care" And that time he was himself crying and not facing May!so she doesn't know it hurted him too.)
She remembers all the harsh words of Drew for her and of her weakness. She knows she is weak but she 100% believe drew doesn't found her weak. Yet her believe was broken.

Drew wiped his tears(this is the flashback remember?) And faced May. He was shocked to see May cry in front of him. But he walked away without wiping those tears. He let her live in lie he gave to her since this was the only thing he had to do.

May felt broken. Her Tears fall to the ground and she felt like being  drown into darkness.

( now I don't know what the next lyrics saws so let's imagine this.)

They both remembered the last happy moment before they become an item together.

May remembers Drew as he with determined look Fought with Team Rocket alone. May remembers her own happiness when she first time saw Drew genuinely smiling when he ordered Roselia to free May up. May couldn't contain her excitement. If it weren't for team Rocket she would have teased Drew.  They both smiled and got into their battle form and blasted team rocket away! The end of the flashbacks!
