Peggy's POV

It has been 6 months since the war officially ended. Tons of memorials were set up for the honor of Captain America. None of which I attended.

I've been staying with Howard and his girlfriend, up until now. Today is the day I move into my new apartment. It's only a couple miles from Howard's house and I feel as if though it's the perfect area to raise my new family.

I'm currently 6 months pregnant with Steve Rogers child, and nothing could ever make me get rid of it. Whenever I feel him/her kick, it seems as if though Steve is placing his hands on my stomach and feeling them too.

       Oh, I miss him.

I woke up this morning to the feeling of the baby kicking wildly inside of me. I rubbed a hand across to try and calm it down. "It's okay sweetie mommy's here. Your gonna be okay."

Slowly the kicking stopped and I got up. Looking around at the boxes that were piled high in my room.

I felt more weight than usual on my lower back and decided that today wouldn't be a good day to unpack all my things.

I opened my bedroom door and made my way into the kitchen. Making breakfast was easy enough, though I really wasn't feeling all that hungry today. I felt the baby kick wildly again as the telephone rang and I went to pick it up.

       "Hello?"

"Hey Peggy. How you doin?" I heard the voice ask on the other line.

"Hey, Howard. I'm good. How are you?"

"I'm okay." He said. "So Maria wants to know if you want to join us for dinner tonight?"

I sighed and sat down on a chair at the kitchen table. "I don't know Howard..."

"Come on Peg. She won't quit bugging my until you say yes. I'll even send Jarvis to pick you up. Please?" He begged.

I thought about it for a moment and then felt a kick to my ribs. I gasped and heard Howard panic on the other side of the line. "What is it!? Are you alright!? I'm coming to take you to the hospital!"

I laughed slightly. "Howard, I'm fine, just a very strong kick from the baby." I stated calmly. I heard him take a deep breath and sit back down.

"Sorry Peg. All this has had me on edge here lately."

"They still having you out searching?"

"Yeah, the General believes if we can at least find some of the wreckage it'll put everyone at peace for a little while."

"Not me." I muttered. "If you find his body, I'd have to go through all that again."

"I know Peg." Howard said. I heard a knock from his line and whispered voices. "Gosh, sorry Peg. The Cornels here, I gotta go. Please tell me you'll come over?"

"Sure, have Jarvis pick me up around 5."

"Perfect." With that the line cut off and I hung up the phone. After finishing my breakfast I finished doing the dishes and folded some of the laundry.

When I laid down at around 11, I was exhausted. I turned the T.V on and groaned. Almost every station was covering the crash of Captain America. Ton's of pictures and video clips flashed across the screen in honor. I felt the baby press it's hands against my stomach. I smiled and put my hands where its were. "That's right sweetie. That's your daddy." It continued to kick and move around for a little while. After about 20 minutes the kicking stopped and I decided to turn the T.V off
