"What are you talking about, Jasper? Are you serious?" Nathan tensed.
Why did life always play mean games with him?
His resort was on fire. His company was on fire. He lost his job. And now this?
Two weeks ago, they just had discovered about Tessa and her son. He witnessed Tom being locked up in the prison. Then, he stayed home, taking care of his wife. They were planning on their honeymoon trip. How did he escape that soon?
How did he know about the resort?
Did he stalk them all the way?
No. That was way too creepy. Nathan refused to believe the worst.
"I am, Nate!" Jasper exclaimed.
"Did anyone else know about this?"
"Nope. I just came to know, and now you."
Tom was out there all this time. Free. Free to do anything. And they just discovered it now.
It's so obvious.
All these 'accidents' and robbery.
So obvious, that it was all his doing. But he couldn't act on impulse. He still needed to confirm. He needed evidence. He needed some support.
"Ethan said something about CCTV footage," Nathan questioned.
"Yeah, we did find some. But that's what I don't understand, Nate. It was a woman in the footage. And she wasn't Tessa."
