Children of the Balance

  Damion thought it was a good idea for every one get out and enjoy themselves. To take their minds off the next mission. Lustfayette and I are the only two who can walk freely in the underworld, but for this mission we need the whole team. Alicia said with Daphne help. She know a spell that can get all of us in the underworld and back. Only probably she needs The Book of The Dead. Which seem our library doesn't carry it. Why can it be a simple mission?

"Elrick, you ready." Shara knocked and came in. "Everyone waiting on you."

We went down stairs and everyone looked good. Even Alicia and Damion was joining up. We drove down to the city. There was a festival going on. We jump out the car and joined the coward. Everyone with in separate ways. Lustfayette followed me.

"Want to grab something to eat." He waved over the food tray and grabs two chicken on a stick. Then he send the tray back.

"You shouldn't use magic around humans so freely." He looks over to me. "They don't respond to supernatural creatures to well."

"Humans love me. Watch this." He pulls me to the side. He reaches out both hands above the coward. I could feel the waves of his power covering the coward. I could see the humans were dancing, but it was getting freaking. The women wear getting undress faster than the men. Everyone was partner up and was beginning to have sex. Thank God I didn't see any children.

"Can you feel it?" He looks over to and smile.

"No, not in the way they feel it."  I looked into the coward and the more hornier they got the better their blood smell. I need to feed and it need to be now. I grab the guy who was sexually attacking this shorter guy. I whip my fangs out and feed like it was my first meal. I let him go and grab his friend. I miss real blood. They  crap that's home is horrible. Maybe because this is fresh. I wonder are the other feeding on this sweet blood. I know Michael would love it.

"How does The Balance feel about this?" I honestly didn't care. This was my body.

"We share my body. My body." He pulls he power back in him self. Then extended his wings and pull me into his chest. He shoot us in the air and stop right above the town. The people was so far I could barely see them. I released The Balance so we could have some privacy. They understood.

"Are we alone?" Lustfayette is very smart for someone who smile as much as he do.

"Yes.". Before I could get it out, he kissed me. His lips were so soft. His arms felt like the sun was holding onto me.

"Wow, but you know I can fly on my own." He lets go of me and I laugh.

"Oh, I forgot after the rock hit me in the head." I had forgotten about that.

"I thought my family was being attacked."  He waved me off and head back down. I lowered myself in a roof I came for what I wanted. Now I'm ready to get this book.

"You think this book with be hard to find?" Lustfayette walks up behind me.

"Yes, I wouldn't expect it any other way." I looked over the people. They were coming out of their lustful commas. They moved awkwardly as they put their cloths on. "Maybe you shouldn't do that again."

"Oh really. That was only a taste of my abilities." He looks over the coward amazed at his work. "My father taught me that lust isn't evil. It's just the feeling people rather hide instead of accepting it.  Like the guy you feed on. He and his friends pretend they're straight. When they lust for each other. Everytime they see each other. I help them with that tonight."

"Now look at them. They're fighting now." I seen Evil was enjoying the show.

"That's because they can accept how they really feel. They would rather fight." Fayette brushed it off. "Humans would rather fight than accepted change. Hints the war."

"What you mean?" I turn to him.

" The humans wanted the abilities we have. When the angel said no and the demons wanted to much in return. They turned on us first. The Balance and their keeper got involved. They made it impossible for human to get to use. Send us to the underworld and the angels to heaven." He grabs my hand and kiss me again. "You are the key to the gates of heaven and hell now. You must be careful."

"It's time to find the others." I open my mind. The Balance return to me. I looked over the coward and found the other headed back to the car.

"How about we fly back?" He wanted to be alone with me so bad. I wasn't like I didn't like him. I just had other things to focus on. He lucky that tonight I feel like enjoying myself. I lift myself off the roof. Facing in the the direction of our home and like lighten, I took off. He was on my heel. The other saw us and cheered us on. Even with lighten speed, I could still see Damion disappointment. We almost made it to the house when I felt a pull. The Balance wanted me to stop. I slowed down and seen a woman being rob at gun point. She scared children with her. Lustfayette almost flew past me, but notice what caught my attention. We flew down. Lustfayette covered the family with his wing. I extended my fangs and drop down onto the robber. He screamed in pain and tired to fight me off. He was a big fellow, but my strength is unbelievable now. Normally his size could throw me off, but The Balance was enjoy this as much as I was. I almost drained him drive, but The Balance had over plans. I could feel they had totally control. We waved our hands over the robber. He stood up holding his neck and flames smothered him. He screamed until he was nothing but ashes.

When I can to, Lustfayette was staring at me. He ran up to me. Checking me out like I was child. I pushed him back.

"Don't we have a race to finish?" I lifted myself into the air and took off. He didn't miss a beat.

The other made it back before we did. They waited outside. We could hear cheer as we got closer. My niece and nephew was cheering for me, while Alicia and Damion cheered on Fayette. When we landed it sound like thunder and lighten. The ground shock causing the other to stumble a bit.

"Who won?" I stood up. Jay and Shara stayed cheering. Damion handed them money and stormed off.

"Lustfayette, you owe me a hundred bucks." Alicia laughs and follows behind him.

Alicia found out the book was in a museum, in California. It was not on display and was being moved to another part of the world. We was going to take it before but made it to the air port.

"We know the mission." They all noded. "We need this book to find Michael. By any means we will have it."

The truck that carried the book drove by. I nod at Lustfayette. He took off carrying Jay and Shara. He drop them right in front of the truck. They got lucky the truck almost ran them over. The truck driver and guard jumps out. I could hear Shara coming with some lie to distract them. Lustfayette lands next to me and I wave the door open. The back was  full of angry guards who wasn't please about this unscheduled stop. They jumped out circling us.

"We been made." I heard Jay and Shara yell are they attack the driver and other guard. Lustfayette and I get ready for them to rush us. I waved my hands in a circle and fired appeared.

"The Balance?" Lustfayette smile at me and I nod.

I threw the ball of fire at the guard in running towards me. I could feel the lighten moving in the clouds above us. I reached out me hand toward the rest on my side. Lighten fell from the sky and took them out. I turned to Fayette who had one of the guards in a headlock. I flick my wrist and the guard neck snap.

"Elrick, was the lighten you?" Jay ran over to me and gave me a high five. "You got to teach me that."

"Let's thank The Balance for that new trick. I can control the elements now." I felt The Balance moving inside me. Sharing my body is so thing to get use too.

"I totally had my guard." I turn to Lustfayette still kicking his guard.

"Sure you did. Now Shara grab the book and get out of here." She nod. Shara comes back with an old box. I open it and the old book to match was inside. On the front book of death written with blood.

"Now let's get this back to your sister." Lustfayette took the box and threw it in the trunk.
