When I feel sad

Or all alone

You're there for me

Atop your throne

You hold my hand

And hold my heart

We never seem

Too far apart

When I cry

And when I yell

I keep it in

I do not tell

But you know

You see right through

And unlike others

You know what to do

You do not shout

Or pry or push

You pull me close

Tell others to shush

When I'm lost

When I'm broken

You guide me home

We count one to ten

Breathe in breathe out

It's okay to cry

Even when

We don't know why.
