Eventually, after many tears were shed over the forgotten memories and Lucinda had decided they'd watched enough, the pair wound up putting all the home movies and photo albums back in their boxes and into her closet. They simply laid in bed, silence overwhelming them as their limbs slowly tangled together with her head on his chest.
Eventually, after watching Seth shift around for the umpteenth time, Lucinda promised him that they could start watching the movies he'd picked out once she went to check on Bella, who was still asleep downstairs.
After wiping the sweat from her forehead and carefully pouring another few spoonfuls of the revival potion Virginia had helped her make down Bella's throat, she quietly made her way into the kitchen to get some water. As she was filling her cup she looked out the window, meeting the dark brown eyes of a wolf.
Its large, dark brown body was standing in the trees across the lawn, watching the house intently as if looking for any kind signs of the inhabitants of the Cullen house leaving, or that Bella was giving birth.
With narrowed eyes, Lucinda set her now full cup down on the counter and flicked her fingers at the window, sending a flurry of purple sparks through the paned glass and landing at the wolf's feet. The grass sparked, as if threatening to catch fire, before disappearing and leaving a symbol unknown to just about everyone on the planet burned into the ground at its feet. It shifted uneasily and took a step back, though it didn't leave. She stared at it for another moment, then grabbed her cup and hurried back up to her room.
"We can watch movies in a little bit, but I need to do this first," she rushes out, setting her cup on the bedside table before laying down on the floor.
Within moments, the upper part of her body was under the bed, and she was pulling out numerous hand made wooden boxes the size of a small book, each with a different animal print and a name scrawled beneath it in a different language, only two of which Seth could recognize.
Bellum; a large feline paw print.
Zara; a similar paw print with a slash across the main pad.
Pestis; nearly the exact same print as the first.
Mortem; a smaller paw than the others, but similar in shape.
Olenna; eagle talons.
Fames; a horribly misshapen paw print with slashes across the wooden surface.
Rowena; crow talons with imprints left behind from where she'd stood on the lid.
Andromeda; owl talons.
"Do I want to know what you're doing?" Seth asked curiously from where he was still laying down on the bed. Now, however, he was peaking over the side like a child watching something he knew he wasn't supposed to.
With her brows pulled together out of concentration, Lucinda had circled the eight boxes around herself with the lids as she sat cross-legged on the floor. Like Zara's, they were all filled with animal bones. "Bringing you, Jacob and Leah some help," she muttered.
Her stormy blue eyes fluttered closed and settle her hands on both of her knees, palms facing upwards. She inhaled three slow and calming breaths before speaking, her voice raspy and hardly above a whisper. "Amissa Reducere."
The box reading Pestis flowed with a brief yellow-orange light before the bones slowly rose out of the box. They hovered in the air as the skeleton readied itself, everything slowly fitting itself into their designated places. Muscles and tendons and veins grew across their surface like a sheet being rolled across a painting. Lastly, a sandy yellow-brown coat speckled with black completed the animal. It's eyes glowed a strange milky green colour, and as the cheetah stretched out it's newly formed joints, Lucinda smiled pridefully.
