Halloween Dinner{Kalian one-shot}

Kalel nervously played with the string on her dress. Halloween decorations where everywhere in the kitchen. Ian, her boyfriend, was coming over to meet her parents tonight. Then the couple would leave for Ian's house. His parents met and loved her.

"If he's good for you, you shouldn't be worried. He his good for you, right?" Her mother would ask with such smart-assness in her voice it made Kalel's blood boil. "Of course! He loves me and I love him!" She would say back harshly.

Kalel's thoughts stopped abruptly when she heard a knock on the door. "I'm gonna get! Me! No one else get it! I'm getting it!" She yelled as she sprinted to the front door. "Hey babe." Ian's cool yet deep voice sent shivers down her spine. "Ian!" she squealed as she hugged him.

"So, you're the lucky man that gets all the attention from my daughter." Kalel's father greeted Ian with harsh words. "Dad!" Kalel whined. "Uh, yes sir." Ian said with nervousness inlaced in his voice. "Well, dinner ready so come in." The oldest man said coldly before turning and leaving.

"Wow. He must really not like me huh?" The blue eyed boy asked. "No, no he'll like you. A-And then my mother will like you. And then we can be happy." Kalel reassured. The sad thing was, she didn't know if she was saying for him or for her. "We'll be okay." Ian whispered in her ear before he kissed her softly. His hands on her waist as he closed the space between their bodies, her hands where in his hair.

"DINNERS READY, COME IN NOW!" Her mother yelled from the kitchen window, she was staring at them. "Shit." Ian muttered as he took Kalel's hand and rushed to the dining room. Her father was already glaring at Ian. His mother was serving dinner. The teenage couple sat next to each other, sparing a worried glance at each other.

"So Ian, what's your grades?" Her mother asked sweetly. Ian automatically liked her, she reminded him of Kalel. "Uh good, b's and c's." Ian answered, he felt Kalel's hand under the table grab his. "How long have you been Kalel's secret?" Her father asked. "Bill!" Kalel's mother gasped. "We've been together for a year." Ian said back. Kalel shot him a worried glance. "You know Kalel's last boyfriend cheated on her." The man said matter-of-factly to Ian.
"I did."
"Yeah well," The man paused and let out a laugh,"He's not a problem anymore."

"Dad!" Kalel said, kicking him lightly under the table. Yet she still knew her father wouldn't stop asking questions, it'd go on and on. But she wasn't worried for Ian. Ian always knew how to get out of a sticky place.

"You do any drugs?"
"No."
"How many girlfriend you've had?"
"Two, including Kalel."
"Home life?"
"Single mom, twin little brothers and twin older brothers."
"How old are you siblings?"
"The little twins are five, the older twins are eighteen."
"You planning on going to college?"
"I don't see why I wouldn't."

This went on for thirty minutes straight until Kalel's mother stepped in,"Oh, well would you look at the time? It's nine you kids better get to Ian's house before his mom gets worried!" She said, trying her best to avoid awkwardness. "Y-Yeah! We should go, we're gonna try to catch a movie. I'll be staying at Taylor's tonight." Kalel lied, she wouldn't be with Taylor she'd be with Ian for the whole night. Taylor was a close friend who the family liked, Kalel and Ian combined together to beg her to cover up for them.

It wasn't until the young couple was outside on the streets that Kalel finally spoke,"You did amazing!" She exclaimed. "Well I try." Ian said cockily. "Oh shut up." She said, pushing him slightly.

The streets where lined up with Halloween lights and carved pumpkins. Children where dressed up with candy bags delightfully screaming,"Trick or treat!" The couple was just walking together, hand in hand. The light breeze flowing through there hair.

"You know that was the scariest thing I've done this Halloween." Ian said. "Oh yeah?" Kalel asked, knowing it was her turn to be cocky. "Yup." Ian confirmed. "Oh my poor baby." She faked her sorrowfulness. "I know, you need to take care of me." Ian complained. "Happy Halloween." Kalel leaned, her waist first as she kissed him. "Happy Halloween." Ian said back.
