Jane couldn't help the twitch in the corners of her lips as the tall blonde whined in confusion on why he couldn't shoot a simple bracelet. Though he was about six feet and four inches tall, he was the most childish person in existence. Gareki snatched the little toy gun from Yogi's hands and pulled the trigger immediately. The little cork knocked the bracelet from it's stand and Yogi squealed happily. In the back, a small, sultry groan sounded from behind her, signaling Levi's obvious annoyance.

Turning to glance at the short man, Jane shyly tucked her hair behind her ear and intertwined her fingers before her, thumbs idly tapping on the curve of her forefingers. No matter how abrasive Levi could be, his expression always seemed to soften when regarding the young female. Leaning to one hip, he watched as Jane began yet another nervous habit of hers. Tching softly, he mumbled, “Stop that, girl. You're among friends.”

Obviously taken aback, she merely nodded in acknowledgment of his words and let her hands fall to her sides. Yogi flung an arm over her small shoulders, pulling her towards his body. His other arm slid around the small of her back, clutching her tight to him. Embraced in the warmth of his hug, Jane let her head rest against his chest and closed her eyes. A cough from Gareki startled her, and she pulled away a bit. The blonde, taking the initiative, released her and shot a little glare at the teen. Although he was older than Gareki and Jane, he still wasn't the designated adult who had to take care of them, and he could do childish things like show off his jealousy. No, Levi was the guard. He was the enforcer.

Gareki rolled his eyes sharply at the immature man, readjusting the goggles that rested in his mess of dark hair. His blue hoodie warmly clung to his body, though seeing the goosebumps on Jane's arms, he slipped free of it and set the jacket on her shoulders. She shot him a look of gratitude, sliding her arms into the sleeves that were just a little too long for her. Turning toward the roller coaster that weaved through a “haunted” cave, she couldn't help but smile at all the children dressed up and sprinting around the carnival.

Levi reached out and snagged Jane's small hand. He had no romantic feelings for her, seeing as she was less than half his age, but he did care for her. Tugging her along towards a little store, he knew what she had wanted since before the day even started. She wanted to dress up, just like a kid would, and ride the rides. She wanted to experience the carnival in every aspect of it. Just coming here was Karneval's present for her, but the boys wanted to do more.

Jane glanced up to see where Levi, Gareki, and Yogi ushered her towards and saw “Mr. Biggles' Costume Shoppe”. A smile lit up her face and she eagerly padded after them, eyes wide. The store smelt like cinnamon, and as she pushed up her glasses, a kind old woman glanced from behind the counter. Clasping her hands happily, she smiled wide, “Levi! Is this the young miss Mr. Biggles told me about?”

He gave a curt nod, and Jane couldn't help but glance sharply at him. He had planned this. Turning to look at Gareki and Yogi, their faces said that they had some part in this. Swept into a changing room, the elderly woman, Mary as her name-tag read, chirped happily, her white curls bouncing, “Costume is hanging in the back.”

Turning around, her eyes went wide in awe. The dress was magnificent. It was silver silk along the interior so it wouldn't scratch her body, and was slit up the right thigh. The over layer was a shimmering clear layer of sparkling material, and the straps were about two fingers wide, a small V artfully cut into the chest of the dress. The back scooped down to her waist, and on the wall were two long wings with glimmering sparkles like the dress, clear straps that went around into a strapless bra that would hold both her breasts and the wings in place. Silver heels that matched perfectly were set on the floor, and everything was just her size.

Slipping on the outfit, she stepped out tentatively, and was about to call out to the boys when Mary released a small gasp and smiled wide. Motioning for her to spin, the elderly woman watched in awe as Jane slowly turned, obviously anxious for feedback. “You look wonderful, sweetie. Now let me do your hair and makeup.”

Taking her wrinkled hand, Jane followed her into a back room and looked at the little stand. Three mirrors, the two side mirrors angled inward slightly to give her and all around look at her face. The seat was a small bench made of plush crimson fabric, and the oak-wood stand was an array of different glitters, make up, and clips. Mary worked quite fast, for Jane's hair didn't need much work. A few loose curls were made with the curling iron, but beside that, all she did was wind it into a loose bun, small curls dangling from the edges and held in place with a clear clip. Around the bun went a silver band, and along the curve of her head, small silver flower clips were placed in her hair. Her face wasn't changed much either. Winged eyeliner, mascara, and the faintest hints of blush were added in the makeup department, but something else was dabbed onto the surrounding area of her eyes. A glitter was applied around the outer curves of her eyes and along her cheekbones, twinkling in the soft light.

Mary stepped back, observing her work before nodding in satisfaction before letting out a surprisingly loud whistle. The boys filtered into the room, all three dressed in prince outfits. Yogi's mouth actually fell open upon seeing such radiant beauty, and the same thought crossed all three of their minds. Damn.

Shyly ducking her head, Jane glanced to the floor, and Mary pulled her into a hug, murmuring softly about how beautiful she looked. Pulling away, she whispered a small thank you, unable to go any louder than that. Levi's hair had been slicked back, and he wore white dress gloves and a navy suit. Yogi was dressed in a black suit with a pale green vest and a purple tie that went surprisingly well. Gareki was also in black, though his tie was a dark blue that matched identical to his hoodie. Exhaling quietly, she glanced over admiringly at all of them when something surprising happened. Out of all three of them, she would have never expected Gareki to offer his arm. Nodding, she stepped forward and slipped her arm around his, the material of the jacket smooth against her bare arms. Nodding a bit, she slipped out of the store and into the cool October air.

A few lingering glances was far opposite on what awaited them. Instead, there were multiple downright stares, a few envious women and a large amount of awestruck men. Glancing to Gareki, she smiled softly. “Thank you,” she murmured quietly, “for offering to escort me.”

“It was no trouble,” he replied gruffly, eyes turning to the floor as a little blush fanned over her cheeks and crawled along his neck. Pulling her towards the coaster she had watched longingly before, Gareki made sure to slip into the seat beside her. Levi glared at Yogi, and the blonde cringed. Turning to look back at them in the cart behind her and Gareki's, Jane gave his hand a little squeeze. Yogi held on longer than necessary, eyes locking with hers. Leaning forward before the bar strapped them in, he planted a small kiss upon her lips before snuggling back into his seat and grinning, his words quiet, “Happy birthday, Jane.”

Eyes wide, her fingers touched her lips lightly, as if shocked, though the blush that crawled over her face was obvious. Smiling at him, she nodded thanks and turned around, nestling happily into the seat. The roller coaster jolted forward, but it was no match for the rush occurring in Jane's heart. Lifting her arms, she squealed as the coaster dropped, and even though the coaster went way down, her spirits stayed high for the rest of the night.
