Chapter 8: An Unexpected Meeting

"Froy?!"

Shayne exclaimed. It was her childhood best friend. "Oh hey Shay-" Froy greeted when "SHAYNE-CHAN!!!" a girl screamed. The echo was so loud that the trees kind of rumbled. "Vi-chan!" Shayne replied. The two girls hugged each other. "It's been so long!" The girl said. "I know. Im sorry I left you Vivi, I needed to ask help but ran into some trouble. " Shayne said apologizingly. "Its fine! You're here now and thats all that matters!" Vivi said soothingly.

Dont trust anyone in this forest.

It kept repeating and repeating over and over again.

Shayne's P.O.V

I can trust them.. Right? They are my friends after all.. I groaned. "Anything wrong Shayne-chan?" Vivi asked. "No, just having a voice in my head telling me to not not trust you." Was what I wanted to say. I didnt say it though. "Yeah." Was all I could muster to say. "Are you going somewhere?" Froy asked. "Yeah. I was actually looking for the Dark Element. " They had widened eyes. They looked at me like I was crazy. By the silence, the blue cat instinctly jumped to my arms from my backpack. "Is something wrong?" I asked petting the cat. "Are you serious? " Vivi said. "Yeah. " I said. "Shayne, no one is supposed to touch any of the elements. Once you touch it you're as good as dead. " Froy explained. "But.. He.." I stuttered. The blue cat then jumped off my arms and transformed to his human form. "What do you mean? The kingdom said they were. " Hiura said. Both of them were surprised at first. "Maybe they weren't informed by this. Only few people know of this. " Vivi said obviously ignoring the fact that he was a neko.

Author's P.O.V

With NaguSuki~

"We have been walking for so long now. We aren't even getting anything!" Suki complained. "Let's just keep walking. We might eventually get something. " Nagumo said. "Fine.. "

With DylYin~

Yin was shivering and she was chattering her teeth continuously. "So c-cold.. " Yin said. Dylan hugged her from the side. "Better?" Yin was blushing but it was warmer. "Yeah. " Yin said smiling.

With Kaida and Fudou~

"Why does it have to be so hot in here?" Kaida says fanning herself with her one hand and the other one fanning her shirt. "We are in the middle of the desert so of course it would be cold." Fudou rolled his eyes jokingly. Kaida, who obviously got the joke, giggled softly. "How are you not feeling hot in here?" "I am obviously warm blooded. I can maintain my body temperature." "Lucky.." Kaida mumbled.

With Anna and Nosaka~

Anna and Nosaka were in the gates of the village where the Love Element was supposed to be in. "Ready?" Nosaka asked holding Anna's hand. "Y-yeah.." Anna said flustered. They walked up to the gate. Some fairies raised their hands and pointed their hands to the pair. The gate then opened. Nosaka lead Anna in then they started walking through to town. "H-how?" Anna said clearly confused but flustered at the same time. "That's a secret." Nosaka said putting a finger in his lips and winking at her silencing her.

The others' job went just as bad as did the others. (Forgive me for my utter laziness.)

With Hiura and Shayne~

"If that's the case then I'll have to tell the others." Shayne said grabbing a round looking item. "What's that?" The three of them asked. "It's called a communication lacrima (If you get the reference I love you). I gave one to everyone before the mission." Shayne then tried to contact the others.

With the others..

Kaida heard a beeping in her bag. She peeked and saw it was from the lacrima Shayne gave to her. Kaida answered it. "What's that?" Fudou asked. "I believe Shayne called it a lacrima." In the round item was Shayne. "Shayne?" Kaida said. "Kaida! This is an emergency. Get to the meeting spot now! " Shayne said. "But I haven't found the element yet!" Kaida replied, confused. "I'll explain later. Just hurry to the meeting spot, ok?" Shayne said. "Ok? We'll see ya there. " "See you. " Shayne said ending the call and trying to contact the others.

Hiura's P.O.V

Shayne was calling and telling everyone about the elements. But the castle is never wrong! Doesn't she remember what that mysterious person said? Don't trust anyone in this forest. Why.. How is she trusting them? What if they're together with the enemy? What will we do to save the kingdom? But I can't disobey the princess. What about the orders of the Queen? If I disobey the Queen, I'll get imprisoned, but if I disobey the princess then I'll lose her trust and friendship.. Cmon.. What do I do?
"Hiu.. "
"... "
"Hiura?"
"... "
"KIRINA-KUN!"
I snapped out of my thoughts. "Huh?" I said. "are you ok? You were out of it a while ago. " Shayne said looking at me confused. "Y-yeah.. Just thinking. " I replied. "Ok?" Shayne said still doubtful. "Anyways we should head to the meeting spot. I just nodded. I followed her and she just waved to those two people. Who were they? Could we really trust them? "Um..  Hime? (Princess?)" I asked. "I already told you to call me by my name Kirina-kun. And what is it?" She said still walking. "G-goumen.. But I don't really mean to say I doubt your orders but.. Can we trust them?" I asked. "I don't know either. But something tells me they're telling the truth. I dunno why, but I just feel like I can trust them. " She said placing her hands behind her head. "Okay. " I knew I could trust her. I just knew.

"Ignorant fools. "
