The Richmond Mansion: Kari's Kidnapped

The Birth of Kari

Leaving off from the first book:

When Jeremiah opened the door I couldn't believe my eyes. It was Chanel, and she had been beaten up. Bloody nose, black eye, bruised up arms, and cuts I didn't even know were possible. We quickly pulled her into the house and locked everything down. All the curtains were closed and the house was locked up. 

Jas: Chanel how did you find us and what happened to you?!

C: These random guys invaded the Richmond house an they beat all of us up. I was kidnapped and dragged into someone's car. I was getting beaten up in the back seat while the car ride was so bumpy. They dropped me off in the middle of no where an I've been walking for almost a day now. I don't even know how I got this far but I was so happy to see a big house that I could run to help to.

As she was talking I was carrying her to the couch with the help of Jeremy (Jeremiah's nickname). I hated seeing the people I cared about the most hurt or in danger. And from what I was staring at Chanel was in both. Everything that was happening could not get traced back to us in any way! We successfully completed leaving the house but if Chanel could find us anyone could. 

Jeremy: Okay shit is getting way too hot around here. Obviously this house isn't far enough so we need to move even farther and get out of here fast. Its the only way to keep the family and the baby safe, Chanel you coming with us.

Chanel: Baby? What baby?

Jasmine: This is a fucked up way of finding out but I'm pregnant. All the guys I've done any activity with I used protection on.

Chanel: Wait so who's the father?

Jeremy: We aren't sure but were gonna get her a test and everything as soon as we leave.

The maid helped Chanel clean herself up while Jeremy and I ran upstairs in the secret room that only he knew about and now I did too.

Jasmine: I don't trust her. I'm glad you didn't tell her that your the father because we don't know if they purposly sent her here or not. Do you know how far away we are from the Richmond Mansion I don't buy it.

Jeremy: I don't trust her either. And there isn't a Richmond Mansion anymore. The Yamas took all the girls out the house and forced them into their empire. They blew up the Mansion and now your father's empire is ruined. Everything is gone.

Jasmine: How did you find this out?

Jeremy: I still keep in contact with Demarcus. He was planning on leaving too. He was on his way to tell the boss but when he pulled up the mansion was on fire and he saw the girls being shoved into 8 different black cars.

Jasmine: Oh my gosh LAUREN! No she, she was just about to move out she was doing so well and now she's going to be a Yamas inmate. This is crazy this isn't fair. What can we do?

Jeremy: There isn't anything that we can do we need to get out of here now. We can't be anymore. I'll have a flight scheduled for us tonight at 2 am, I have a house in North Carolina so that is where we are going. Its the farthest we can get from them. 

Jasmine: So whats the plan are we just leaving Chanel here.

Jeremy: Yes this house is hers now. She can do whatever she wants with it but me you Selena and the maid are out of here tonight. I don't care what Chanel does because she isn't the one I chose you are, and we don't know if were being set up or not so to be safe we are to leave when she is sleeping.

Jasmine: Okay.

And that was the end of the conversation. We packed all of our things and packed the car while Chanel was in the shower. This was someone that I deeply trusted but if this was what it was then I knew I couldn't fully trust anyone ever again.  3 hours later its 12:30 and we start leaving the house, Chanel was sleeping and we managed to sneak out the house without waking her up. He didn't tell me where we were moving but as long as I could get away from the lifestyle that I was forced to live then it didn't matter to me. All I wanted was for my family to be safe an for Jeremiah to not have to stress over situations that were out of his control. After a 2 hour drive to the airport we got food and boarded on to the plane. I could barely eat anything heavy so I got a cinnabon with a milkshake. The maid met up with her family at the airport and thanked Jeremiah and Selena for taking such good care of her. It was time for us to leave so we waited for take off. 

"Welcome and thank you for flying with Delta on flight 273 flying to Beverly Hills. We will be ready for takeoff in 3 minutes." 

"Beverly Hills?"  I say with disbelief. "Yes. I have another mansion there. Working for the Richmonds put me in a really good position. I destroyed our pagers and I'm not getting us anything that we can communicate with others yet. Its way too soon and now we have a baby to keep safe. He was right. Our lives had to be completely low surfaced for a long time. "Okay guys I am going to be staying at a hotel with a friend so I can give you two some alone time." Selena said walking up to her Uber. "No Selena don't worry about that." I say touching her shoulder. "No you don't worry I need to get out more anyways, and I'm used to the relocation I can protect myself." And with that being said she hopped into the Uber and it drove off. I wasn't sure how many days she would be gone but I hoped it wouldn't be for long. There was a show fer waiting for us with the letters J&J on them. We knew it was for us because we didn't want anyone in this town knowing our full or real names. If anybody understood how serious the situation was it was us. We pulled up into a gated community and our house was the farthest one in. All the way towards the back of the street and there we were. There was a gate within the  gate to make sure the house was extra secure. We pulled in and took our bags out of the car. It was so beautiful on the outside. After the car drove off Jeremy and I were by ourselves. It was the start of a new life, a new everything. 

9 months later...

It has been a very big adjustment moving over here to North Carolina. We made a couple connections with a few of our neighbors and finally had our beautiful baby girl Kari Inglewood. She looked like the both of us combined and I was so in love with her. My 19th birthday passed a couple days ago and I wasn't too big, Kari is a very small baby. She had the cutest light brown eyes, soft brown skin, and she was already trying to make noises. We took her back to the house after leaving the hospital after a week and all I could do was just admire how beautiful our creation was. This baby was now my responsibility, being a teen mom wasn't going to be easy. Or maybe it was, considering, I was living in a paid off house with tons of money from working for the Richmonds and being financially stable. I got a job over at H&M in this really huge mall I worked everyday from 12 to 5:30. Jeremy always told me I didn't have to work because he was still bringing money in but I didn't want to feel like a damsel in distress or a housewife not providing or helping. So I took the liberty of getting the job myself so I could feel more independent. Selena came and stayed with me an the baby for 2 nights while Jeremy went to take care of something. He never told me what the things were an I never asked, because even though we had been together for almost a year, I still had a tiny fear of him and I never knew why. Mainly a fear if things he would go off to do. I always questioned if he was still doing things for the Richmond's, or a new organization that I had knew nothing about. I didn't want to live that life anymore with our new baby. That was a conversation for later. I grabbed some subway on the way home an made sure we had enough groceries so that we didn't have to go out for a little while. I got home to seeing Selena and Kari sleeping, and it was the cutest thing ever. I went up to the master bedroom and sat in the bathtub watching Insecure waiting for Jeremy to get back. After an hour of me being in there I got out and laid down in bed. Still feeling the emptiness of it when I woke up in the morning.
