Today was my last day of high school before summer break. The sky was a bright blue color, while the sun was scorching hot. I ran as fast as I could to escape the sun's deadly rays, eventually I sheltered under a tall tree.

I grasped for air as I sheltered, after running for at least 20 minutes in this heat I was exhausted, but my mom's car wasn't functional today, so I was on my own.

10 minutes had gone by, I was replenished and so I decided to proceed to my school, when suddenly a black van drove down the street, it was headed in the direction I came from.

I've never seen that van before I thought to myself, but I didn't have time to wonder who was in it. I began running down the street again.

"Heyyy, Romario!" someone shouted.

I immediately looked over in the direction the sound came from, I was greeted by the most irritating smile ever which belonged to Staci, a girl who was happy all the time; She had long blonde hair, blue eyes and she was taller than me.

Staci had been been in my class since kindergarten, talk about aggravating.

It's not that I hated her, I just despised that she was always so happy, seemed like she didn't have a care in the world.

"Sooo, are you excited for summer break?" she asked.

"Why would I be? I'll do what I always do every year, stay home and watch tv shows." I said in a moody tone. "yeah I know bu-"

I immediately stopped her from speaking before she could continue.

"Look it's going to rain, let's hurry to school fast" I said as I began to run away from her.

"But there aren't any rain clo- hey! Romario stop running so fast, wait for me!" Staci shouted as she ran after Romario.

We finally arrived at our school, I looked back and there she was, staring back at me with a big smile. Irritated as I may have been, I just kept walking.

"Yooo Romario, what's up man?"

There he was standing at the entrance, one of my best friends, Sebastian but I called him Sebas for short; He was the same height as me, a year older, wore some goofy glasses and had curly black hair.

"Hey...Sebas, I'm alrig-"before I could finish speaking, I was interrupted by Staci.

"Heyy, Sebas! I hope you're ready for summer cause I sure am." she said with such excitement.

"HECK YEAH I AM!" Sebas shouted.

"W-Well I guess I'll see you guys in class, bye" Staci said as she gave us a big smile and ran down the halls.

"NO RUNNING IN THE THE HALLS!" Someone shouted.

"Well, she seems happy for summer." Sebas said.

"Hmph, she's always happy Sebas, ever since I met her in kindergarten, not once did I see her look sad even when that kid stole her toy." I said.

"I think it's good for someone to be happy don't you agree?" Sebas replied.

"I-I guess but no one's that happy...".
