Chapter 2

Virgil's POV

I was on the verge of a panic attack my breath became quick and short I saw Logan calling out to me before my magic took over and teleported me to the library.

My legs gave out on me and I collapsed into the floor, curling in on myself “L-logan” I called out to nothing as I started to shake violently before I remembered I brought my blade with me, shakily sitting up I took my bad off and pulled out my blade.

Pulling my sleeve up I pressed the blade against my pale arm, sliding it across my skin I continued this. One cut became three, three became ten soon I was at twenty until I lost count. I felt light-headed and dizzy soon I was lying down.

I closed my eyes for a second until I heard a gasp the last thing I saw was a freckles face.

"💜"

Patton's POV

We had split up to find Virgil on my way there I stopped to check in a few places until I made it to the library i searched every study room until I made it to the last one.

Walking in I spotted Virgil letting out a gasp I made my way over and called out to him but he didn't respond. Hovering my hands over his arm I began muttering a spell watching as every cut healed older ones and his newer ones.

~Time skip~

Virgil's POV

I woke up to find myself curled up against someone's lap I felt their hand stroking my hair it felt good “Lo?” I questioned only getting a small laugh.

This isn't Logan I began to panic until I felt this person hug me, calming down slowly I looked at them to see it was Patton. “Hiya kiddo sorry to scare you, how are you feeling” He asked softly. I was about to answer but I shut my mouth and signed “I'm okay...did you see?” Once I was done I mentally faced palm when he gave me a confused look using my magic I brought both of us into his mind.

Patton's POV

“Ah!” I screamed out in panic as I saw his magic swirl around us. “N-not so loud” I heard a timid voice say before realizing it was Virgil “Where are we?” I questioned

“Y-your mind....before you ask it's because I don't wanna talk in person” He had said quietly “Oh okay but what did you need to tell me and how come you signed?” I questioned him more.

“Im selectively mute I only talk to Logan and occasionally Princy but he's to dumb to notice” V had scoffed “And I said I'm okay....did you see” He had motioned to his covered arm. “Thats good and yes I did I healed you too I...does anyone else know?” I looked at him with concern

3rd Person POV

“Thank you and Logan but he doesn't know I started again....Please don't tell him!” The shorter boy shouted at the fairy. “I won't but you have to let me check your arms everyday kiddo” Patton giggled it lightened the mood a little.

Eventually the two left Patton's mind “Hey Virge the day is almost over let's go find Logan and Roro” He smiled, holding his hand out to the dark elf, Virgil had hesitated before taking his hand.

~Time Skip~

Still 3rd person POV

The now group of four had went to the park since it would be quite empty today once they got there Virgil let go of Logan's hand and ran off behind some trees.

The three had chased after him until they came out into an open field where they saw Virgil using his magic. Patton had a big smile on his face as he let out his wings and flew over to Virgil.

Virgil had jumped when he saw the tiny fairy sit on his shoulder. “I didn't mean to scare you V” Patton apologize before hoping off his shoulder and becoming full size Virgil stared in amazement.

“Hm what never knew fairies could become big while still in their forms?” Patton questioned with a smile Virgil shook his head before he felt himself being whisked into the air by Roman.

The short male let out a small squeak before he look at Roman, seeing how close they where a small blush appeared across both their cheeks.

“He really likes flying Virgil around” Logan had said “Why's that?” The fairy boy asked “After and incident with Virgil's flying magic he was never able to fly again he really enjoyed the sky” Logan paused “So now Roman flies him whenever he can”.

“Emo nightmare?” Roman called to him getting Virgil's attention, he landed away from clearing before setting Virgil down “Do you...like me?” The question had caught Virgil off guard.

Virgil hesitated deciding him he should speak “I....”
