It was raining when Lee Minho got out of work. He works at a little cafe just down the street from his apartment. He was having one of those days, where you're tired of people and their problems and all you want to cuddle with your cute kittens. Minho couldn't wait until he got home, he started to walk a little faster, pulling up his jacket up to help protect him from the rain as it came down harder.
As Minho was in front of his apartment building, something caught his eye. A little basket on the side of the street, he saw something moving inside of it. Curiosity got the better of him, and he walked over to the basket. Blinking the raindrops away he peeked inside; he saw a wet, shivering, cat inside, the creature was shaking by the cold, damp air. Its coat was covered in mud and sticks were tangled in its long fur. When the wet cat saw Minho, it hissed at him, telling Minho to leave him alone.
"Hey, hey, don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you," he said in a gentle voice. Minho slowly raised his hands so that the stray can smell it; he hopes that the cat won't bite his fingers off when the cat moved his head closer to his stretched out hand. Hesitantly, it touched Minho's fingers with the tip of its pink nose and meowed. Hoping that was a sign that the cat won't bite him, Minho softly ran his hand through the muddy fur on top of its head, rubbing its ears.
The cat started to purr as it closed its eyes and leaned its hand against Minho's hand.
Minho started to hum as he carefully brought his arms around the dirty creature; he brought the kitten to his chest; it purred a bit louder as it snuggled closer to the warm body. Minho could feel his shirt getting soaked by the kitten. He cared it to his home.
As he walked through the door, he was greeted by two of his cats; they were meowing, rubbing against his legs while he carefully walked, without stepping on little paws, to the kitchen.
"Hey, beautifuls, are you curious about what I have?" he said to his cats chuckling.
He set the new cat on the counter; the cat stared at him very still. It watched as Minho inspected it for any injuries.
"You seem fine, just a little cold and hungry. I'll first clean you then feed you, how does that sound?"
The cat meowed and watched as Minho got a bowl from the cabinet and filled it with warm water. He took a small towel and started to clean and dry the kitten.
The now, the clean cat looked more healthy, its soft silver fur, Minho wanted to stroke it, but he didn't want to scare the cat too much. After putting the dirty water and rag in the sink, he grabbed two bowls, smaller ones this time, filled them with cat food and water, and set it down on the counter in front of the clean cat.
After it had its full, it leaned towards the edge of the counter and looked at the cats below. A third cat had joined the two other cats from the beginning; they were still curious about what Minho had brought home. Minho watched as the new cat swished its tail before jumping down from the counter and greeted the rest of the cats. At first, he was worried about them attacking each other, but his cats seem to take a liking to the new one.
"It looks like we have a new member of the family. What should we call him guys?" [yes, Minho checked if the cat was a girl or boy.]
"Hmmm, how bout Han-ie?" The cats meowed in agreement.
"Well, Soon-ie, Doong-ie, Dori meet Han-ie, Han-ie meet Soon-ie, Doong-ie and Dori."
Minho left the kittens to play while he went to find some food for himself. He got out some ramen and boiled some water; he went back to the playful cats to see Han-ie a lot happier. He put food in Soon-ie, Doong-ie and Dori's bowls and went back to tend to his dinner.
After eating, he took a shower and got ready for bed; he usually lets his cats on his bed to sleep, of course, they do have their own little beds. He didn't have a bed for Han-ie, and he was afraid that Han-ie would be too scared to sleep with him. Minho was proven wrong when he sees the "cat gang" running into his bedroom and Han-ie jumping in his bed without any hesitation. Doong-ie went to her little bed while Soon-ie and Dori jumped on to his bed, well Dori climbed the little stairs Minho had for her because she's still a tiny kitten. Minho watched them as they cuddled next to each other at the end of his bed, and carefully he moved under the covers and quietly said goodnight to the cute bundle of fur.
End.
