jaden wasn't stupid. even before him and ian started dating, even as matt went through different girlfriends, he could see the way matt and ian acted around each other. he could see it in the way the other two stared into each other's eyes after laughing hard at something stupid the other said. jaden wasn't oblivious. but it wasn't like he doubted ian's love for him per say. ian talked about what their future wedding and their future kids would be like since practically the day they started dating, something that probably should've scared him away, but he just found it endearing.
if it were anybody else, jaden would have been quick to shut it down, but he figured that he could tolerate a lovesick matt's staring as long as that's all it was. and, hey, jaden considered himself an open minded guy. hell, a threesome wouldn't have even been the most adventurous thing ian has talked him into doing (which would've been somewhere between fucking ian while wearing a dress or fucking ian in a public bathroom, he couldn't decide.) besides, matt was kinda cute. in a weird, methhead type of way.
but that didn't stop jaden from getting jealous.

quickly after ian announced that filming was officially finished, the majority of brockhampton began to trickle away. merlyn was out of there like a flash with the others, scurrying out to get something to eat not long after, which left ian, matt, and jaden left home alone for the time being. matt, after cleaning up what he could in the kitchen (having decided to stay home and help ian clean up, wanting to be a good b̶o̶y̶friend) went back outside to check on how ian was doing. he leant against the brick of the house and began watching ian as he scrubbed desperately at one of the tables used for the video. it was an odd picture, really: ian in a crop top, doing out of the box domestic chores.
matt peeled his sweaty shirt over his head and chucked it on the ground, leaving just another thing for poor ian to pick up. "i don't think i've ever seen him so concentrated." jaden said to matt, leaning over. he got a shake of the head in return, a smile to go with it. "i think it's kinda adorable." he replied offhandedly, not really noticing how jaden's eyes squinted as he said it. of course he thought he was adorable, it was ian. out of the three of them, he was easily the most attractive (in their eyes, anyway.) especially when wearing those cute crop tops seemed to be a new habit of his.
"he looks like a fucking house wife." matt said after a period of silence, his gaze now completely fixed on ian. an idea formed itself in his head and almost immediately he wanted to put it into action. "we should get him to make us lunch." he grinned. jaden looked at him, disgusted and matt managed to tear his eyes away from ian for a moment. "what?"
jaden rolled his eyes. borderline eye-fucking his boyfriend right in front of him wasn't enough for him? "he can't cook, like at all," he grunted, wishing matt would back the fuck off. it wasn't totally a lie, anyway. "you really wanna take that chance?" jaden did have to admit, though. ian cooking for him was something he'd like to experience, even if it made him vomit up half of his insides.
matt didn't need to think before he nodded his head. "yep." once matt was set on something he was stubborn so jaden decided to let him have his way this time. besides, it wasn't a completely horrible situation for him. "yo ian," matt called out to ian. "make some sandwiches. please?"
in response, ian rolled him eyes and yelled something like "nigga make yall's own damn food, i'm not yall's babysitter!" keeping it classy, as always. well, there went that fantasy. jaden and matt shrugged and walked back inside to follow ian's advice, slapping together some sandwiches for themselves. they made themselves comfortable and munched away, seemingly completely forgetting the boy outside.
