Mansion

Today I observed a site before my eye,

Metallic doorway of a mansion stood high.

Lush lawns with tender green grasses,

Through blossoming flowers breeze of air passes.

Crystal marbled floor covered with velvety carpet,

Chandeliers flashy and scarlet.

Spacious room with decorative furniture,

Transparent glass doors and walls with white texture.

As I wander into the dining area, I think,

Do the people here have heart as big as this house?

They once belonged to a lower class,

Now their pockets filled with moolah,

Hearts full of materialistic desires,

Their refrigerators stocked with chocolate boxes,

Yet they couldn't spare one to a poor innocent child.

How money can change people,

How people forget their old days,

I prefer living in a small cottage,

If houses so big makes me inhuman!
