Trust

Seeing nothing but darkness ahead, the warrior slashed his sword,
carelessly...

A warm feeling embraced his heart, as he attacked blindly,
whoever his love told him to

His love, who could never be wrong, who would never let him hurt the wrong person

Little did he know,
as he slashed away,
the hall lit up, not with peace and warmth,
Not with giggles of joy
Or content sighs,

but only with the cacophony of terrorized screams, and his lover's
cold, insane laughs.

Only when the blindfold fell

And the sounds finally came
Did he realize
How dangerous trust could be

And the sounds finally came Did he realizeHow dangerous trust could be
