TWO
Krystel
“Wake up beautiful” I heard someone whispered while playing on the strands of my hair.
“Go away Chels!” I groaned turning away, swatting her hand in the process.
I wanted to scream at Chelsea for opening the curtains but all that managed to come out from my aching throat were exasperating squeaks. I grab the nearby pillow to cover my hurting eyes. Argggh! I can’t believe I let Chelsea talked me into this. I swear I’m never drinking alcohol again, ever!
I buried my face in the pillow. Hmmmn…this smells so good like fresh citrus and sandalwoods… smells like a man. I giggled from the thought and sniffed some more. I was about to drift to sleep again when I heard a deep male chuckle.
I frowned. There’s someone in my room and I’m pretty sure it’s not Chelsea.
A cold shiver runs down my spine.
Oh no!
FLASHBACK
“Wooooh! That’s my girl” Chelsea shouted as I slammed the empty shot glass on the table. I don’t drink but the humidity of the place is getting on my skin so I tried the sweet tasting, strawberry flavored, sparkling liquid the cute bartender generously offered me after Chelsea briefed him that I’m an alcohol virgin. I grimaced as the bartender eyed me ruefully.
I am still pissed at her earlier for making me wear this red flimsy dress, so short that it only reached my mid-thighs. I felt like everyone is looking at me or rather at my exposed legs when we walked inside Rough ‘N Rogue half an hour ago. I scowled at Chelsea but she just laughed at my discomfort. Alec who seemed oblivious to my foul mood winked at me and throw his head back laughing at something Chelsea had said.
You Chelsea Marie Sullivan are going to pay for this big time.
“Come on Krys, dance with us” Alec yelled over the blaring speakers. I just smiled at him motioning that I will get another drink from the bar which he just answered with a polite nod while ushering her girl to the dance floor.
“Live a little honey!” Chelsea shouted.
“Yeah. Sure.” I said dryly waving her off.
Great! A few minutes away from my evil of a best friend.
I sighed in relief as I grabbed my purse and trailed my way to the bar where I spotted an empty spot in the corner. I just wanted a more secluded place away from the scene to pass the hour until we are ready to leave.
The bartender from earlier smiled charmingly as I approached the bar.
Hmmn… He’s…cute! I thought.
“See something you like?” he rasped.
I blinked as his words register. “Uh.. yes… No! Sorry, I-I was just going to sit here for a while” I said feeling my cheeks burned from embarrassment.
He just chuckled while his eyes travelled on my body.
Ground swallow me now!
Fortunately, someone on the other side placed an order so I was save from additional mortification.
