Chapter 2

"My owner's name was Lucy, and she gave me and the other stuffed toys nicknames. Mine was Ni." The girl nodded along. "So you're like a Banette." She said. "A who?" I asked. Then I figured I should ask what her what her name was. "And what's your name, anyway?" I asked. "A Banette is a Pokémon which was originally a doll, but came to life after its owner abandoned it. And my name is Tily, by the way." She answered. "Tily." I said. "Your name has a nice ring to it." I explained some more things about the stuffed toys. "They could all move, but not when anyone was around, or else people would freak out. Lucy's mother said that another stuffed toy would arrive. She didn't say that to us specifically, but we overheard her. Lucy always wanted a Mimikyu toy, so we predicted it was that." Tily was writing that down. "I have a question. If you were a Nihilego plush, where is the hat thing?" Tily asked. I pointed to it, which was sitting in the shadows on the table. "Can I just call you Lillie?" She asked. "Ironically, Lillie is the name of a character who is scared of Nihilego in the Pokémon show." I answered. "Oh. I don't watch it." She answered. "Do you know if I can leave?" I asked.

I didn't wait for an answer. I left. And upon leaving, I realized something. Who knew everybody knew each other here? "Who are you?" Somebody asked. "I used to be a stuffed parasitic jellyfish Pokémon, but now I'm a human." Tily pulled me aside. "What do you think you're doing?!" She loudly whispered. "People will think you're crazy." She said. "Lucy was a lot more fun then you." I told her. "Well what did she do? Let you ride around on her head and pretend you possessed her?" She asked sarcastically. I could tell that I was being annoying. "Yes." I replied. "Just follow me."
