"wait, virgil-"

"SHUT UP!"

virgil was threatening to leave if the dark sides didn't cut their act. he knows everything now. they never cared for him. they only wanted to have their clique full. how could he have been that blind? of course they wanted him gone. nobody likes paranoia. people would do anything to get rid of him.

"virgil, just listen! we didn't mean it! stay, please!" deceit pleaded, on the verge of crying. remus as well. "you think voices go away when the lights are off? pathetic. i'm done. hope you have a nice night." virgil reached for the doorknob, slamming it open and walking away, not even getting a glance behind him. he will not miss them.

at least, he thought he wouldn't. if only he could see what will happen in the future.

halfway through getting to the street, he heard a scream of his name from behind him. figures, they started following him. who would have guessed. "virgil, please! come back!" deceit yelled, wiping away some tears that were starting to fall from his face. "we can change!" remus chimed in. by now, let's hope nobody gets woken up by their yelling. virgil stopped walking, yet didn't turn around. "you didn't change for years, you think i'll believe you now?"

silence.

"that's what i thought."
virgil spat, finally getting the courage to look over his shoulder to get a final glance of his 'friends' before walking away.

he felt bad. but he knew this was the right choice.
